Ruger headbutted Rex's muzzle and caused the grip on Ruger's ear to vanish. Once the grip vanished, he bit Rex's leg and pulled him down to the ground on his back.

Rex layed on his back, stunned, his soft belly flesh vulnerable.

Ruger let go of Rex's leg and held his throat in his jaws firmly. He said "Beg your daughter for your life because it's in her paws now. She gives me the order and I'll kill you."

Ruger strengthened his grip on Rex's neck and said "Give me a good reason that I should spare him! He killed my father. He abused his power. He abused the pack. He abused YOU. How can you want something like that to live? How can you LOVE something like that, Calico?"

Calico said no words, but starred at Rex's now-limp body.

Ruger looked at Calico and said "Do you truthfully want me to spare him, Calico? He's gone limp but his heart is still beating. If you want me to spare his life then tell me to and I will. Thank carefully, Calico. Everything is in your paws now."

Calico starred at the gray and blue colored body. She remembered those times when his father had yelled at her, scolded her for soing only what was right. She had obeyed him time after time, killing when he called the word 'temple.' But yet, she couldn't find herself to let him die. She sighed. "There's nothing left... its all dark... everything's gone..." she whispered to herself softly, the same thing she had whispered with Storm had been killed. "Do what you like with him, Ruger." she said softly.

Ruger released his grip and backed away. He waited until Rex was conscious again before giving his judgment.

Ruger snarled at Rex and said "You need to get up Rex but take as much time as you need to collect enough energy so you can."

Ruger sighed and asked "What punishment do you think you deserve Rex for all that you have done to all of these good dogs?"
