[Balto, Complete] So wrong, but it feels so right [Part 1]

Well, Aniu missed one part that i think i should put out just so no confusion arrizes later on. Max got rid of the paint. Apparently it had dried up by time he got someone to help him out with it. Also, one more thing. Slyth and Blitz left the forest because Slyth heard Saba cry for help. Though the two don't know yet, it was just Mira pulling a trick on them.

Now, as for where your character comes in, i suppose you could be some standby-er. Maybe a friend of Blitz's or something like that has been off on vacation with his/her's owner and has only just returned.

Woops, sorry I forgot that, XD. Anyway, yeah you could be anyone you want pretty much, like you said before, maybe one of the siblings, or one of Blitz's teammates or whatever

We'll work it all out. Just say that your char has been on vacation the whole time ^.^

Jenna smiled back at Blitz, quickly looking her over once again before glancing back to Slyth. From her judgment, Blitz seemed like quite a nice young dog and easily likeable. Balto felt roughly the same way, deeming that Blitz was a good dog to get along with- at least from what he saw in her. Although she was indeed a bit nervous and anxious, that was easily understandable, seeing as he was probably one of the most famous, if not the most famous dog in Alaska, it was easy to see how one would get a little flustered around him. Other than the slight anxiety she had from meeting him, Blitz did seem like a good friend to Slyth.

"Well, I hope you're enjoying your time with Slyth..." Balto replied, smiling at Slyth, "I always wondered when Slyth would start bringing a girlfried home to us..." He laughed slightly when Jenna playfully nidged him and sighed softly. "I'm just kidding... So Slyth, how long have you and Blitz been friends?"

Blitz felt like she was under a good deal of scrutiny from Slyth's parents, though the pressure was considerably less than it had been when they'd first arrived. For a moment, she wondered why they would examine her so closely, as if they were sizing her up for compatibility. Then it suddenly hit her just why they must be doing this. On the one hand she almost felt flattered, but on the other she thought jokingly what their reactions might be had they known all the details of the tangled relationship web that had been woven.

"Oh, yes we've been having fun." Her face flushed as Balto said the incriminating word "girlfriend" and she glanced down, shifting some dirt around with one paw. She laughed lightly before looking back up, thoroughly embarrassed, not to mention feeling some of the awkwardness and anxiety creeping back up as they once more reminded her of the intensely sticky situation they had landed themselves in. Her light blue eyes shifted over to Slyth as they spoke to him and she smiled gently, her ears and tail at least up and alert now instead of drooping and cautious as they had been.

Slyth bit his lower lip as the word girlfriend emited from his dad's jaws. He started to feel the familiar uncomfortableness settle over him again. Glancing at Blitz, he did his best to return her friendly smile before looking back to his parents. Running over the time since he first ran into Blitz, he became aware of just how much had gone on since meeting her. "Umm, we met a few weeks ago." He remembered that whole issue Storm had gone through when they met, then he wanted to join that gang, which Blitz had helped considerably with. Even though she had nearly killed the gang's leader, at least Storm didn't get mixed up with them. "I think that's about right." He shifted his paws a bit, trying to think of something else to say. Was he supposed to say that Blitz was his girlfriend or admit she was just a friend? Because he was unsure, he decided to keep his mouth shut.

Keeping his ears up, he waited to hear Saba call for him again. He didn't knew how his parents had missed it, but he was a little anxious to go see what was wrong with her. It sounded to him like she was in one of the alleys of Nome and he knew better than most would think about what went on in those alleys.

OOC: Many apologies...I have missed lots...

Mira growled impatiently, ears bending bakc and tan fur rustling in thwe wind "SLYTH!!" she screamed louder, face red wiht the effort she was putting on her young lungs. She then put her head down from the wind, eyes closed she was huffing and puffing. Noting how wonderflu it was she sounded just like her big sis, who was probably back at the house-which she was, but Saba was not about to go out with bandages on her, since she tohugh she looked like an idiot-Her eyes turned cold at the tohught of the little hussy with Slyth, Blitz, seen her before at her Father's boat, and disregarded her as no threat to her sibling's relationship. JUst as a sibling's friend. THat was before Blitz had gone off with her big brother. And quite fankly, she was slightly huffy at it. Slyth knew his place with SAba, not Blitz, and Blitz either didn't know or didn't care about her big sister. And that made Mira hate them both all the more.

Balto and Jenna nodded understnadingly. Then followed the long moment of silence that usually occured in conversation. Balto thought for something to say, since he always disliked prolonged breaks in a conversation. "Um, so Slyth, where's your brother and sister?" he asked, looking around, "I haven't seen them around in a bit and I was beginning to wonder how they were doing..." Jenna nodded in agreement. "Yes, I've been wondering the same thing... Have you seen Saba or Storm around town anywhere?"

Jenna looked back toward Nome, wondering where Storm and Saba were. Hopefully they weren't getting into trouble, but she trusted them fully, but still it was always a parent's nightmare to have something terrible happen to their children...

Blitz's ears perked forward as the call came forth once more, sounding remarkably like Saba's voice. If dogs could sweat, she would certainly have started sweating profusely right about then, getting nervous that Saba's call seemed so distressed. The black and grey hybrid glanced to Balto and Jenna, unnerved that they hadn't heard their daughter's scream, but also somehow relieved.

They spoke of her...and Storm and her breath caught in her throat. The memories of the horrible afternoon - and night - flooding back to her mind. Had she really almost killed Dart in cold blood? And had Saba really almost killed herself because she thought Slyth loved her, the racer? It all seemed so foreign to her now. Foreign and cruelly ironic.

She knew they hadn't asked her directly, but feeling responsible she chriped up, "Well, I haven't seen Storm for a little while now. You see, he kind of got mixed up in this gang for a little while. Dart, their leader, tried to get him involved in their way of life and I tried to stop him. It got a little messy..." Her voice faltered as she realized just how much of a monster she would sound like if she told them the whole story. After all, she'd practically ripped out Dart's throat. It was a wonder he was still even breathing now.

Once more the half wolf glanced up at Slyth, but this time she flitted her eyes in the direction the call had come from, signaling him to go. He could make any excuse he needed and she could stay to make sure his parents weren't worried. After all, when would she get another definite chance to speak to her hero again after this?

Slyth opened his mouth to answer his parents question, a bit unsure of how to phrase it. It wasn't exactly something easy to explain. Storm had been stealing meat from the town butcher and handing it over to that street gang he tried so desperatly to join. Had he not been friends with Blitz he might have done so. And Dart might not have had to live through that experiance. One can only imagine the pain. . . it was a mystery how he was able to stay alive. But, luckily, he didn't have to worry about doing that. Blitz jumped in again and saved him from an awkward story. The way she told it made it sound like nothing more than an argument had come up between Storm and the gang. He smiled at her in gratitude. But at the same time, he saw her give him a signal.

For a second, he didn't quite understand it. He looked over in the direction she nodded her eyes and saw Nome ahead of him. Gitting the clue, he nodded his head and took a step toward the town. "Uh, i've got to go meet Kodi in the boiler room. You two stay here and chat with Blitz." With that, he turned his back to them and set off at a slightly-fast paced jog. Only when he had entered the town did he speed up. Twisting and turning, following where he thought the scream of Saba had come from. He couldn't find her scent to follow so he didn't have much to lead him on. But, after a minute or two of scouting around the alleys, which he remembered was quite dangerous when you didn't know where exactly you were going due to the street kind that hung around back here, he found who her. Except. . . it wasn't Saba at all.
