"He's gone." She said simply. "He's really gone."

He stopped alongside her, gently placing his hands on her shoulders and pressing close to her, trying to give her comfort. "Shhhh..." He cooed. "...C'mon Baby, he couldnt fight anymore... He tried so hard, he tried for you Beth... He just couldnt do it anymore... He's in a better place, Baby..."

"But...He's...gone.."She croaked.

Nate sighed, finally sinking in the truth. He turned Beth, so she was looking at him, and he took hold of her soft pale hands. "I know Beth... I know he's gone... It's over, now... The hardest part is moveing on... But Beth, you don't have to act strong anymore..." He was reffering to the way, she held back her tears, even though her voice sounded shattered. "You can cry Bethany... You can fall apart... And im gonna be here, to put you back together... Your shoulder to cry on... You're not going through this alone... Im right here, and no matter what... Im always gonna be..." That was one of the most mature things Nate had ever said. He looked at Beth with teary amber eyes, he didn't see the exhausted woman he had first met... No, this was the Bethany Valentine he had always known. Shy, timid, fragile... This was the girl he had fallen in love with, years ago, this was the girl he had danced with outside the barn.

Bethany took in his words with big eyes, and a small frown. She nodded timidly, then slowly leaned into him. Bethany was quick to unravel after that. She took in a large, shaky, breath, feeling the burning of her tears work their way up her throat. She bit back a sob, then let the tears roll out like a waterfall. She wrapped her arms around the base of his neck and took long, shaking, breaths. She wished the pain would go away, wished her memories would be erased, wished she'd never left Nate in the first place at all.

Nate found his arms wrapped around Beth, murmuring gentle words of comfort, resting his head on hers and listening to her sobs. He almost coughed when she grabbed his neck, but he stayed right there, letting her cry on him. "Shhh, Bethany..." Nate murmured. "It's alright, it's ok..." He tried to sooth his sobbing love.

Months later...?

Bethany had gotten better, though she still became saddened at the mention of Jeffery. She stood in the kitchen, fixing some dinner for both herself and Nate. Her hands worked into a dry lump of dough on he counter stretched out before her. Her hair was tied back in a messy pony-tail, the sleeves of her red flannel rolled up to her elbows. Her face was twisted with difficulty of kneading the sticky substance.

Nate came in, his white t-shirt, jeans, and hands covered in oil. He had been out working on his camero. He came in quietly and looked over at Bethany with a soft smile. He took off his greasy shirt and washed his hands. Then he came quietly back into the kitchen. He came up behind Beth, and wrapped his arms around her, taking her hands into his and guiding and helping them knead the dough. "What are you cookin', pretty girl?" He asked playfully.

(IDEA: This one isn't as lengthy as the others xD. But, what if Beth finds out she and Nate are gonna be parents again, but she's afraid to tell Nate about the new baby. Cause she's got the fear that he'll end up being like Nick after he found out about Jeffery. (Which he won't cause Nate's a good Boy lol!)

Bethany chuckled softly, taking in a sharp breath and sighing out massively. Her cheeks heated up to some degrees and her heart began to flutter. For as long as she'd known Nate, she never stopped getting butterflies in her stomach whenever he touched her. It was just like a continuation of high school when it came to her loving Nate. "Fried chicken." She said, spinning in Nate's arms so that the counter was behind her, Nate's arms on her lower back. She giggled a bit, kissing him lightly.

Nate grinned mischevoiusly, "Oh, now what kind of kiss was that?" He asked teasingly. He grinned, and took her gently into one of those 'tango dancing dips' gently twirling and carefully lowering her in his arms. Then he pulled her up quickly, and pulled her against his bare chest, theire faces only inches apart and his arms around her waist. He knew she still got embarrassed, and he found it fun embarrasing her. He grinned and slowly kissed her lips, mocing down and ending with a kiss on her neck.

Bethany felt her cheeks set to flames, she blinked and smiled. Nate was the best thing her her life. She slipped her hands around the base of his neck and tilting her chin back when he kissed her neck.

They had both certainly returned to their normal selfs. Sometimes, Nate would think about when they met again. How sad he had been, and how tired and utterly scared Beth had been. Nate grinned at her, he took his hand and gently cupped her chin, tilting it back down so she would be looking at him. He was still a bit hurt by what she had done with Nick, but he understood her reasoning more, now. "Still wanna make that chicken?" He asked mischeviously.

"Skrew the chicken!" She giggled, kissing him urgently, a smile on her lips.

"Whoa now!" He began, after kissing her back. He looked at her with nothing but a mischevious smirk. "If you're not cooking chicken, what will you be doing to occupy your time?" He asked quietly, gently pinning her to the wall, their faces only inches apart and his hands on her hips.

Bethany's eyes grew dangerous, "I don't know. Help me find something to do?" She said with a playful wink. "Any suggestions?" She teased.
