Sauda ignored the gasps of horror from the lionesses and Chaka's "I knew it." She stood up. "But he has not followed it." she said in Alonzo's defense. "If he was, he would have killed me right there, but he didn't." Murmurs of agreement filled the air. Shani pushed her brother as he gave a "huh". Kovu flicked his tail for silence. "you're point is right, Sauda." he said. "But, however, we must keep a careful watch on him because he might kill us one day." "Atleast someone agrees with me." Chaka muttered.

Kovu raised his eyebrows. "Very well, then." he turned to Simba. "Will that be okay with you?" he asked his former mentor. Simba nodded. "I will keep a close watch on him." Kovu nodded. "I believe this meeting is over." he stood up and walked into the den. Slowly the rest of the pride also began to disperse. Sauda cast a concerned glance at Alonzo and then went to lie down beside her mother and sister.

Sauda gave him a look of full sympathy. "I'm sorry." she said. "Am I barging in?" There was a slightly playful tone in her voice.

Sauda chuckled. She then looked over to her sister calling her. "I'd better go." she said, her voice filled with regret. "Shani's calling me." She turned around and walked into the den, casting glances over her shoulder at Alonzo.

Kovu looked at Kiara. He nodded. "I know." he said. "But, we must be on our guard for now. Who knows? Maybe he might just surprise us."

Sauda curled up beside Shani and fell asleep, feeling the hot gaze Chaka was giving her.

Kovu nodded. "But, Simba didn't trust me either when I first came here." he muttered to himself and put his head on his paws.

She smiled kindly. "Morning." she greeted him. "How did you sleep?"

"Fine." she said. "A slight nightmare but it faded away almost immediately. She then heard a voice behind her and saw her father coming towards her. "Sauda." he said. "I want you to hunt with Alonzo on the southern part of the territory."
