There's a guy doing hilarious parodies of MLP on YouTube and his own website. I would loooooooooove to link them here, but they do contain foul language and mildly-offensive material, as freaking hilarious as they are. ROFL He goes by the internet name "HotDiggedyDemon", and his real name is Matt Gilardi. He's apparently an amateur (though very good) Flash animator who got his start on the old, but very well-known Newgrounds web site (though Gilardi's Wiki page says he has since had a serious falling-out with NG's founder Tom Fulp).

The MLP parodies are absolutely side-splitting funny, but are definitely not suitable for posting on AS, and wouldn't pass moderator scrutiny anyway (not that I would blame them...lol). But if you go looking for him off-site, you can find the stuff. And if MLP fan extremes annoy or fluster you too, then you will get a real kick out of them!

Gilardi seems to draw substantial influence from Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kricfalusi), who broke into his own after that series ended and was doing hilarious (and sometimes risqué) e-cards on a now-defunct website known as Sugarqube.com, which he eventually bought (I spent a lot of time there, and I MISS that site!). Anyway, Gilardi seems to have managed to capture Kricfalusi's animation and artistic style, and even voice-over work (and his penchant for crude physical humor and body noises...lol), to the proverbial "T"...at least with the MLP parodies. lol

But to comply with the AS rules, I will not link them here. If you want to go looking for them, I have given you enough information to find them. And you can also PM me if you wish to get links to where you can see them. I've already shown a few people here by PM, even one or two MLP fans, and they loved them. But forewarned is forearmed. They are parodies...and a bit on the naughty side. LOL

Just to check, we were serious about needing to make a seperate topic to discuss My Little Pony episodes as fans and this one is to discuss rather or not it's overhyped, right?

Heck, even I'M getting sick of the fanbase. But I comfort myself with the fact that EVERY SINGLE FANBASE out there have the same problems. A lot of 'bronies' these days are just.. to put it bluntly.. pissing me off - both the male AND female fans. I really really wish they'd stop pressuring people to watch the show (I only joke around and suggest it to people.. I'd never MAKE someone watch it), drawing 'furry' pony art (*gag*), and acting like complete idiots about the show. I just wish I could say to these people, "You are NOT a pony, shut up!" -___-

Of course, not ALL bronies are like this at all. I run an MLP roleplay site, and the majority of the members are nice, polite and.. normal, really. The words "everypony"/"anypony"/"nopony" does get annoying after a while though, but I'm not going to tell people how they can and can't talk. Again, it's the same as EVERY fanbase, and a lot of the MLP fanbase is nice and creative. Some artwork and characters I've seen are just fantastic. And I will admit, I myself think the show is wonderful. I love the animation, stories, humour, characters, and general feel of the show. It beats the crap out of any other children's show these days, and is just so lovely and warm and makes me feel happy when I watch it. I know not everyone feels the same way, and I respect that. I myself have my own ponysona, and pony OCs to roleplay with.. but that's about it. xD

And lol, JC.. funny you should say that about gay people liking it, because two of my good male friends are gay (one very feminine), and they both love the show. But so do a lot of straight men I know.. including my boyfriend. At first he was like, "Ew why are you watching that? It's a baby show!" But I ended up getting him into it. xDDD

So yup, that's my two pence. I love the show, but I don't like about half of the fanbase.

I was at first one of those people who was getting sick of seeing those memes in some comment sections on one of my favorite review sites. Then I figured "well if you can't beat them join them" surprisingly enough I liked it but not to the extent of some bronies who actually buy the figures.

It's kind of scary how many guys love mlp, though most who talked about it were gay, but theres alot of straight guys into it to, someone mind telling what the heck is so amazing about MLP? cuz I dont get it, all that comes to mind is a lonely lil homo repressed mommas boy show, so if anyone knows why this show is so great, mind sharing so I can try to see it as less flamboyantXD Which nothing wrong with it just curious, though I can see most of the viewers being drug addicts though do to all the colours and little talking poniesXD

I watched MLP the other week. Sure, it was quite good, but all this hype for that? It's just a bunch of unicorns acting like teenage girls in an autistic school. I mean, singing to trees? Breaking the sound barrier? Controlling the weather?

Who do they think they are, King George III?
