Syvor instantly thought of a safe place everyone could go, and the scientists would probably never find them. But the thought of disclosing his secret hideout made him inwardly grimace as he did. "You know," he began, feeling like his own words were stabbing his throat, "I know a safe place we could all go, and it's not too far from here, by flight anyway." The place where Ephra raised him had always been his place that only he knew of, but now wasn't the time to be selfish. There were lives at stake, including his own.

However, he hadn't thought about how long it would take to walk or run there. It took only about 12 minutes to fly there from here, but walking? Possibly up to an hour? Syvor had no idea how long, that's for sure. That's what happens when you're wing-dependent. "It might be a bit of a walk, but..." he began again, "I'm sure that, with us all being stronger than normal humans, the flying Halves could all carry someone..." That's a good idea, force people to volunteer. That'll make them like you. said Syvor's brain sarcastically. "It's only a suggestion." he concluded, letting his gaze drop to the harsh ground.

OCC// sorry I haven't posted in so long I have been grounded, i tried reading it from wear i last posted but i got confused...can someone tell me whats happened? i would really appreciate it!(:

OOC: Everyone's just outside the school between the grounds and the treeline. They just fought off a group of scientists and are now deciding where to go and how to get there.

Taylor nodded and said, "Thanks Syvor. You sure that's alright?" He had noticed the odd look in the half's eyes. In the meanwhile, though, he had been having the same suggestion in his mind about carrying the others who couldn't fly. He turned back to see them, though and saw that Rue didn't enjoy the idea. "I'm sure we can keep close enough to the ground, right guys?" He asked, turning back to Syvor for somewhat of guidance.

He changed back into his ghost form quickly and breathed silently, waiting for the others to speak.

Bumpity...?

Syvor was liking where this was going, because one of his ideas were actually being taken into consideration. He scratched his head and asked, "Well, who besides Rue can't fly?"

Ooc:// Please excuse the shortness, I'm at a bit of a standstill.

"Well, I can fly, but I'm not so sure about carrying others," Ilac admitted. "Bird bones are--you know, light. And my body is basically engineered to be a human-bird hybrid." He sighed--he hated to bring down an idea, but it wouldn't work for him!

"Alright..." Syvor confessed. "Maybe my idea isn't working out. We should all just take our own routes, and I guess I'll take the non-flyers." He knew he was strong enough to hold more than one of them, and no one seemed like they were comfortable carrying someone anyway. He could do it himself, if need be.

"Sorry," Ilac sighed as he took off. He landed almost immediately. "Uh, where are we going?"

Syvor rolled his eyes and announced, "Everyone just follow me, alright?" So this was it... this safe haven he once called home would now be public to people he barely knew, but if it was for his survival, he couldn't just go there by himself and leave everyone else behind. He spread his wings, took a running start for a few paces, then launched into the air. Feeling the wind was the only thing that made this all worthwhile.

He looked down at the group, hoping they follow him to the safe place.
