Endom jolted awake from the mixture of rain and Rusty's howl. "What happened Rusty, are we under attack?!" He asked, baring his teeth in case they were being attacked.

"I am under attack by my shear stupidity," he howled back wincing in pain and limping into the building on three paws. "When it started to rain I sprinted back and stepped on my paw wrong and I think I made it worse," he laid down in the old cabin holding his paw.

Endom got up and went over, checking it out. "Yeah you sprained it a bit more... You always were accident prone."

"Bad luck always seem to follow me," he looks behind him and waves his fist at the bad luck, "Leave, just leave will you," he yells at the bad luck and twists his shoulder the wrong way and winces in pain once again.

Endom couldn't help shaking his head, smiling. He went to the couch ad yanked a cushion off, bringing it to his friend. "Rest on this, the hard floor isn't good for your shoulder."

Rusty took the cushion and plopped it on the floor then he stood up fluffed it a little bit a lay down, "Thanks, I really appreciate it. It seems that if it can go wrong it will."

"Normally the law of the world Rust." Endom said, shaking water off his fur. Not like that helped much, considering the rain coming through the holes and getting him wet still.

Rusty happened to be in one of the few dry spots in the cabin. "Over there isn't wet," he pointed with his arm that he didn't dislocate over to the kitchen area. "We should probably go back to our pack, they are probably wondering what the heck happened to us."

"Not in this weather. We should wait until it lets up."

"Guess that would be a good idea," at the same moment there was a clap of thunder that startled Rusty and he leaped up a little bit but fell back down onto the soft cushion.

"I think lady luck agrees with my suggestion also." Endom said, moving to a dry spot.

The claps of thunder were getting more and more frequent and the wind began to pick up. Rusty glimpsed over to where Endom was sitting, "Hope this old shack holds," he said jokingly. Another sudden clap of thunder spooked Rusty as he leapt up a little bit but the cushion was there to break his fall. "Was a good idea of yours to give me that cushion," Rusty said while patting down the cushion.

"No need to be spooked, thunder doesn't hurt anyone. Plus, I find it rather soothing." Endom said, taking a deep breath of the stormy air.

Rusty gave Endom an odd look, "How the heck is this soothing?" Just as a flash of lightening appeared in the distance followed by a sudden burst of thunder.

"The stormy air, the soft rain patter on things outside and the occasional thunder." Endom replied, looking up at the clouds from a hole in the roof.
