"Alright," Maya said slowly.

The gang members smiled. "Well c'mon then!"

Ryan and Zac began to follow them.

Maya was still a bit wary, and walked slowly after them. Normally, she was brave and would jump into this with no hesitation or thought. But being in this new body, being changed....it had briefly given her a new perspective. She shook off the thoughts, and walked a bit faster, catching up with Zac.

Zac turned at the feel that Maya had just caught up with him. "You ok?" he whispered, knowing something wasn't right.

"Not really," Maya whispered back. "I mean, I went to sleep a wolf and woke up....this." Her voice, normally calm, shook a bit.

Zac put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find a way to turn back."

Maya nodded. "But," she swallowed, then forced herself to finish. "But what if we don't find a way?"

Zac looked her almost straight in the eye. "We'll find a way," he said.

"I hope so," Maya said to Zac.

Zac secretly thought, Me too....

"Are you guys coming?" Skye asked.

Maya jumped at the unexpected question, and the realization of how far they had been left behind.

Ryan turned to look at the two.

Zac answered,"Uh.. yeah!" he then ran in order to catch up with the two. He wobbled a bit whil running from not being used to it.

Maya followed Zac, her steps a bit more faulted than her friends. She actually stumbled, and barely managed to keep from falling. SHe kept going though, and soon was walking next to Zac.

Zac turned to Maya. "You okay?" he asked.

Ryan followed he gang members. Soon they were at the base. Most of the humans were armed with guns or knives but it didn't seem to bother the vampires.

Zac stepped back a bit when he saw the knives and especially the guns. "How can that not scare you?" he asked Ryan and Skye.

"Easy," Ryan whispered back. "We're vampires remember? Nothing can kill us except those vampire hunters. And they, well, they tend to have everything up their sleeves. They have stakes, crosses, pretty much anything. If it were possible, they'd have bottled sunlight."
