"Well, we have at least one brave soul," Corinthia said smiling. "Don't worry," she assured the pegasus, "I'll jump in if we run into any issues." She turned towards the boys. "Ready?"

John nodded he then climbed on the Pegasus. Hey Easy! The Pegasus said.

Corinthia laughed. "Easy, John. You have to learn everything step by step. It will take time and multiple lessons, but eventually you'll be able to ride a Pegasus perfectly without even needing to talk to him or her." She was not criticizing him, but smiling warmly at him, impressed by his obvious enthusiasm.

He nodded "Sorry,"He whispered to the Pegasus.

"You're so sweet!" she exclaimed smiling. "Your father is the only other person I've ever met who actually thinks of a pegasus as something other than an animal and who actually realizes they have feelings." She was extremely impressed.

"Thanks,"He said grinning, and was properly on his Pegasus.

"You're welcome," she said smiling back. She jumped lightly and nimbly onto the back of the other pegasus. "Are you and Blackjack ready Percy?"

Percy nodded,I'm Ready to fly high! Blackjack whinned

"Blackjack, I think Percy wants to stay with his son while he learns how to fly, so you will have to stay low for now." She turned towards John. "Okay, let's start with the really simple stuff first. Since Poesidon is you Grandfather, if you ask a pegasus to do something, very nicely, he or she will follow your direction. You don't even have to know the basic motions that eveyone else does. Why don't we start off with that so you just get used to the idea of flying first?"

John nodded

"Okay, nicely ask the pegasus to fly a little bit above the ground. Don't worry, your father and I will be here to help you and make sure you don't get hurt if something happens." She smiled at him and then looked at the pegasus she was riding. I'm not going to ask you to do anything specific most of the time because you're very smart and know what's best when teaching campers, but can you please fly a little bit above the ground.

The Pegasus nodded Sure

When she was a little ways off the ground, she looked at John. "Go ahead, give it a shot," she said encouragingly, smiling warmly at him.

"uh ok,"He said nodding "Could you please fly,"He whispered to the Pegasus. He took off from the ground (a little ways though).

Corinthia watched John extremely closely. She was checking for signs that he was beginning to fall off or become scared. Corinthia was not paying attention to the movements of the pegasus she was on; she trusted in the pegasus's judgement and knew she would not fall off.
