In a way, Rue understood how Setsuko was feeling. She hadn't been around people in general, but sometimes she had, and at those moments, she fe;lt exactly like Setsuko did all the time. "I know how you feel, about people expecting you to be just as great as your parents," she said, her voice soft, breaking through the darkness that enveloped them both.

Setsuko smiled. It was good to know that someone understood. She decided to go a little off-topic. "So," She asked awkwardly. "How did you get...you know..." She indicated Rue's wings.

"My parent's had them, they passed them onto me genetically," she explained. "They never toold me how they got their's,' she said. That was a lie, she had found out recently, but she wasn't sure about telling Setsuko yet.

Setsuko could hear the waver in Rue's voice as she quickly spoke the last part. She could tell that Rue was lying, but she didn't press on about it. Instead, she replied, "I see." She thought a minute before asking her next question. "In your world, are all the others...like you?"

Rue shook her head. "No, they're not. It's only my family." she said. "Is everyone benders in your world?" she asked.

"Where you listening when I told you about my friends?" Setsuko asked, a but annoyed. She calmed down a bit. "No, not everyone. But some are."

"I was listening," Rue snapped back. "You mentioned like 10, ho was I supposed to remember every little thing you said?"

Setsuko bit back a sharp retort. Rue was partly right, but Setsuko was pretty sure that she had made it clear that some of her friends and family where non-benders. She sighed, but then something sparked in her memory. She was fairly sure that Rue's memory was returning...perhaps she could ask... "So...if you don't mind my asking...who where you're parents? Their names, at least."

Rue thought for a moment. "My mom's name is Max, or actually Maximum, but veryone calls her Max. And my dad's name is Fang," she said, glad that she was able to remember some stuff.

"That's cool. Do you have any siblings?"

Rue nodded. "Yeah, I have my brother, Lark, and well, the rest of them aren't exactly my real blood related siblings, but we are still siblings anyway," she said, the owrds sounding confusing to even her.

"You're lucky," Setsuko said flatly. "When I was born, something went wrong and my parents can't have any more children. So it's just me, and Jaci." She added, stoking the Blue Lion lovingly. He purred.

"To tell you te truth, i think your luckier than I am," Rue said.

"Why do you say that?" Setsuko asked curiously.

"Well, siblings can be a big pain in the butt. They get on your nerves all the time, and do everything that they can to get you in trouble, or to blame you for there mistakes," Rue said. Most of her siblings did that anyway.
