The first episodes currently in development will probably need one or more OCs. Also, I thought I'd mention Opus usually holds a LiveStream session at 6:00 PM CST (GMT -6). Check the shoutbox at the main site for details: http://www.animationsource.org/talespin/en/chat/If, like me, you're not an artist, watching him draw in real time is like seeing magic happen. I urge anyone interested in TaleSpin or Character art to check it out!

Ok, just tell me what you want and I'll be happy to whip up a bio for the character. Hows this for the bio?
Name: Age: Species: History: Appearence: Personaility: Alignment: (Good/Evil/Neutral)
If you'd like anything else, just ask.

If ever I could also help out with some OCs if you need any more.
I want to see him draw in real time. However I've been having trouble with the Hamichi network, I already told him about it. Hopefully I'd be able to fix it before the next meeting that I can attend.

i have an episode idea: Rebecca magically regresses to Molly's age for a whole month and while Becky and Molly are playing, Baloo decides to hire Don Karnage as a babysitter but little does Baloo know that Karnage has different plans (e.g. Kill Rebecca while she's young)

Sorry, im not part of the project, but I love the show so, iI think that Baloo would be in very big hurry, and thats why he would hire Don Karnage, cause theres not other babysitters ;D

Still, that would be VERY unlikely. Unless he bumped his head (again) and lost his memory (again). Maybe this could be worked out differently.
But keep giving out ideas! Don't be afraid, that's the point of the topic, that's what brainstorming are for.

Maybe it could work if Don Karnage is wearing a disguise... and Baloo doesn't know that he's hiring Karnage. I'd have a hard time believing Baloo would hire him on purpose knowing who he really is... Good angle though, I like the regression to childhood, especially involving magic. steet wrote: But keep giving out ideas! The project continues! We are currently working on some promotionals. and on the first episode. We really need writers. Someone who is willing to give a little bit of their freetime to this cause. Please send me a note. I really think we could get somewhere with this and with more help it would be easier.

Some news to keep you informed. As of now the production team is as follows: Writers0X7B Writer and head chief for the Virtual season talespin episodes. Currently working on the pilot episode for this new season. The episode is more complex than what we thought it would be, so it will take a little more work and dedication. He is currently putting all his effort to it on his free time, but it will sure be so nice if there wasa writer who could help him on ideas and also the writing. many of the already produced stories are going to be used for the season with the authors permission of course. some of those stories include some of Ann's stories from the highflight comment forum. She can also be found at fanfiction .net under the category of talespin fiction. ArtOpusThats me! I've always been a fan from this cartoon and once had a dream of making comics about it. I think this is my chance to prove it to myself. I'm currently working on a promotional video that will have to air on youtube by January first. I hope I can make it, but I'm certain I will with the help of the artist mentioned below helping. KrisShe is an animator from deviant art also know as greykitty. her talents will help create the storyboards and short anmations that might be used scarcely troughout the season. right now she is workingon designs for Baloo and Don Karnage, this last one her favorite character. her time is very limited so the way this is going to work is that one I have storyboards for a season I will choose along with the production team something short to see if she can animate 5 to 10 seconds of video. of course we all artist are going to help with the animations as well but she being the pro she will have more experience than eveyone else. VictoriaShe has always been so giften at art. an old friend of mine who runs back more than 5 years of knowing each other. she is currently working on designs for Baloo and becky (rebecca) and believe me her art will make your eyes come out of theur sockets. She will probably make her first post tomorrow and also post some of the art she has already produced. 3d animationEclipsea truly talented guy who knows how to do his stuff. he remade the talspin intro with his own renderings of the seaduck. he is currently working on the seaduck interiors and I will ask him to design the wireframe for another plane , a little smaller than the seaduck, that may appear in future episodes. original charactersGodzillawolfa young guy who is willing to help with ideas to create new characters . Some of those might appear in the episodes. And also ideas to make new episodes. * as of now this is our team * if you´d like to contribute with us e mail me to [email protected] or pm me here at the forum. The format for the promo video will be somewhat like 800 by 600 dpi , so a little bit bigger than the youtube default size. It will be about the future or a possible future, and you dont think about a Baloo Rebecca coming together. I see that something very far from what we are planning, but who knows anything may happen... I drew these scribbles today just to warm up with the characters I'm in charge so far because I havent drawn them in like 3 weeks because of personal problems.

I'd like to do some co-writing; I can take someone's story and develop it further. I started working on two graphic novels of my own so I could use the practice on an established series I grew up with, with complex characters I'm familiar with. I am also almost done with college (part-time now) so I have some time.
I'm probably about to repeat some of the things that's been said already, but here is some of my expectations out of the project:
1) The VS should operate on the premise of what Jymn Magon and/or Mark Zaslove would do if Disney asked them to revive the series. To me, that would be a blend of lightheartedness and character development moving towards story arcs. The two-parter A Bad Reflection on You would be a great example of this. Not too light, but not too dark.
2) The VS should probably be kept as a web comic for now. Like a comic strip but perhaps using computer modeling for the Sea Duck and objects in the background. Could something like Google SketchUp be utilized? We could also use computer coloring and shading for the characters as well, like I've seen with some of the artwork. I think the emphasis needs to be placed on good stories without piling so much work on everyone that nothing ever gets done. Simple to start with for now.
3) I thought the best moments of TaleSpin emphasized flight and the vastness of the sky, dogfights, pirates, and all. To me, personally, I thought TaleSpin suffocated under extended scenes in Cape Suzette (not including H4H) which didn't involve flight. DuckTales was better suited for that.
4) New or one-off characters should probably be kept to a minimum to start off with... let the original characters of the series have a chance to breath again.
5) I was always under the impression that in the TaleSpin world, there are vast, unexplored continents and civilizations isolated from one another. Maybe it's a Super Earth or something, who knows. Cape Suzette seemed to be more of a city-state rather than just another city in a country (which made it all the more interesting to me). They never even seemed to have heard of Panda La, with Baloo pretty much a shoe-in for Marco Polo. Imagine how the world was largely unknown in the 15th century and apply that to the TaleSpin world.
5) For #5 above, this definitely steers the VS in the direction of adventure, but I think it needs to be within the parameters of what TaleSpin does best, which I emphasized in #3. That's what differentiates TaleSpin's adventures from those in DuckTales.
6) The Internet has evolved so much and computer modeling and graphics have been streamlined enough that I can see the VS being feasible.
That's all for now, let me know what you think.
