ooc- oh well, should we skip to training? or should we continue, i forgot her name so.....

It was the next day. Blackriver had instructed Nightstar to come for her first training session at dawn. The white pup excitedly ran out of the apprentice's den, where she had slept for the first time the previous night.

Silversnow shook her head as Nightstar ran out. She sat up and opened her eyes blearily. Then she bounced up, filled with excitment. She was an apprentice! Paws scrabbling on the den floor, she hurried after Nightstar, bubbling over with excitment.

"Sliversnow! What are you doing?" Nightstar asked. "I don't have time to play. It's time for a training session! I have to make a good impression on Blackriver...."

"I didnt come out to play! " she said. "Im hungry!" she said, her stomach giving a well timed rumble. She grinned at Nightstar.

"Just like you to be thinking of you stomach," Nightstar joked, grinning as wide as her friend. "Sadly the Breakfast Patrol has gotten back. Great Tribe of the Stars, have they even left yet? Oh well. See you at breakfast!" And with that the white pup padded over to meet with her father.

Silversnow watched her friend walk off. h well. Might as well see if she could start training too. She ran over to her dad.

"Nighstar," Blackriver greeted, "Welcome to your first training session. For a pup, you handled getting up quite well. That's what I like to see from my daughter. Now, let's being." Nightstar nodded enthusiastically. "Thank you Father! Yes, let's start!" "Patience," Blackriver interrupted, "That is a trait of a good Fighter. And it is something you seem to need to learn. Calm down, my girl!" Nightstar's face fell slightly, and she sat still.

Silversnow grinned at her dad as she sat next to him. He smiled at hre. "Can we do training now?" she pleaded, looking up at him.

"Now!" Blackriver continued, "I don't want to give you the wrong view on training sessions, however, I want you to know that just because I'm your father doesn't mean I will go easy on you. I want to see the best out of my daughter. Hear me?" "Yes...sir. Yes, sir!" Answered Nightstar. Blackriver nodded approvingly. "Good. Now, let me see you're defensive stance..."

He let out a sigh and stood up. She stood up too, glancing at her dad to see his answer. He nodded and broke into a run, leaving her in the dust. Silversnow shook off her pelt and scrabbled in the dirt, racing after her dad.

"Defensive?" Nightstar asked. "Yes," Blackriver responded. "Defense is every bit as important, if not more, than offense. You can beat an attacking enemy just by avoiding their blows. You turn their attacks to your aid." "But before when learn how to deflect attacks, shouldn't we learn how to do them ourselves? Wouldn't we be more sure of how to black if we know what the enemy is doing?" Blackriver smiled. "Clever pup. Yes, that would be useful. But first, I am going to teach you defense basics. If you are to survive, you must learn them as soon as possible."

ooc: since im like, lost on the training, can we skip to after? if not i can stall.....

Later....

"Well, looks like the breakfast patrol is back. You've done well, Nightstar. Why don't you go eat?" Nightstar grinned up at her father, and then respectfully dipped her head in dismissal. She headed for the fresh kill.

Silversnow glanced up as she saw Nightstar. She, of course, was already eating. "Hii Nightstar." she mumbled around a bite of rabbit.
