"I wish I could join the team," Naira replied "but I am just not built for it," she chuckled. She scooted closer to him and watched Sammy chase after the moths.
I wonder what it would be like to have several pups like that running around? Naira smiled slightly and looked at Blue out of the corner of her eye.
oh what am I saying? sure we love each other but..maybe its best to wait..

"Sam's like a little puppy, huh?" Blue chuckled. They both seemed to be zoned into Sam.
As soon as Sam caught a moth, Blue seemed to snap back into reality. "I uh-I wonder why Sam's parents left him all alone...or for how long...he could have been there all night long." Blue sighed. "I can't stand
to think of him all alone." Blue shivvered. " I can't stand the thought of parents abandoning thier pups-er-I mean um- kittens or whatever." Blue said. Oh did I just bring up pups? He thought to himself.

"I think his mother was being hunted," Naira explained. "When we were back there, I smelled wolves." She shuddered and made sure Sam was within paws reach. "Its amazing what a parent will do to protect their loved ones." She smiled at Blue. "Like my mom did for my sister and me.." she said quietly. Naira looked up and gazed into the sky, recalling that fateful day. "My sister and I were so happy with our mum. But then all that changed, because mom was mostly pitbull, these men thought we would make good fighters. Mum knew what they were up to and she would not let them take us away from her." A tear pricked at her eyes and Naira blinked it back. "Well, the men did not like that and basically beat her up, but with her dying breaths she told us to never lose hope of freedom and that she would always be with us." Naira turned back to Blue, "Mothers are amazing." she added.

Am I hinting something?..

(sorry, I couldn't be online for a while)

"I haven't seen my Mom and Dad in a while...but my Dad...he got free by in a way, biting the hand that fed him, that evil hand." Blue growled. "He says that he think he broke it, and I hope he did." Blue silently growled."Thank Gosh my mom wasn't a fighting dog..but...I hope you don't mind if I ask...What about your father." Blue asked. He's always looked up to his father, and wondered about Naira's.

Naira listened to Blue talk about his father in astonishment.
"Your father was so..brave.." Naira commented.
so thats where he gets it from..
"What about your father?" Blue asked her.
Naira's ears flattened.

papa...
"I..um..I'll be right back.." Naira murmered.

She went to sit by the lake and bit her lip to keep from sobbing. The tears trickled down her face and hit the water below, making her reflection dissapear amidst the ripples.

Blue started to feel cold and alone. "I knew I shouldn't have asked that. He started to go off to
find her but Sammy rubbed up agaisnt his leg. "You'd better come too." Blue said picking him up.
He trotted around, unable to call her because of the ball of fluff in his mouth. He left it all up to
his nose to find her. He put sammy down to rest for a second. He turned to the sky. Oh why
did I ask that? he thought. Then he heard a long Mew. "Sammy?" He called. He was walking under a bush.
"Mabey he found Naira." Blue thought.

why did I barge off like that?...I could have told him..he understands..he said he loved me...why can't I summon the courage and just say it?...

Naira tearfully stared back at the reflection in the water.
She smacked the water angrily. A long mew echoed through the air, the wind picked up a little and Naira caught the scents of Sam and Blue.
they came to look for me..
Naira decided to go back and apologize for running off and she set out towards the scents.

"sammy?" Naira could hear Blue's voice. another mew, then some rustling.
Sammy must be going under a bush. Well, since they can't seem to find me, I'll just give them both a little surprise
Naira grinned slyly and snuck up behind Blue and Sam who was busily scurrying around the underbrush looking for mice.
steady steady...
Blue stopped for a moment and Naira snuck closer..and closer....then...
"GOTCHA!"
Naira playfully tackled Blue, it sent them both tumbling down the slightly angled hill, when they finally skidded to a stop, Blue and Naira found themselves in an awkward situation.....

if you know what I mean... -_-;

Blue blushed and looked at her. As they looked slightly up. Sammy was tumbling down on them
and nocked into them. Blue smiled and got up. He shook his fur and looked quickly at Naira, then
turned and blushed. "Um...." Blue struggled to think of somthing. "Wonder if Sammy would like fish." He
Managed to say. The Lake Naira was at made a perfect fishing spot. Blue lunged at a fish, but fell in.

He held is head up hight. In his mouth was a stick. He thought it was a fish, because his eyes where closed
tight. He dropped it. Looking at his...Prey...He grimanced. "Um...how about a second try." He laughted.

Sammy was watching over some minnows. But Blue was determined to get a bigger fish. He stuck his head
in the water once more, and brought one up. "Here Sammy, cats love fish." Blue smiled. Sammy looked at it oddly.

Naira also turned bright red and avoided eye contact for a couple seconds.
you enjoyed that didn't you? squeaked the voice.
just when she thought that voice was gone....
When Blue suggested that they catch fish, Naira hastily agreed. She watched Sam and Blue try to catch fish, Naira bit her lip to keep from laughing when she saw the "ferocious" stick prey all the whle, she kept an eye on Sammy who was sniffing the fish Blue had caught. She decided to show off her own fishing skills and settled down by the water patiently.
A lone fish slowly drifted past her. Naira raised her paw over the unsuspecting fish and...slipped and fell into the water. Blue and sammy laughed and Naira chuckled also.
"The water is great", Naira smirked, "wanna join me?" she dove under water and let the cool liquid surround her. She dog paddled around the bank, scaring all the minnows.

Blue but Sammy on his back, and also drifted into the cool water. Sammy crawled
up ontop of Blue's head. To aviod getting wet. Blue laughted at the kitten. Sammy didn't
think it was all to funny. "Ouch." Blue pipped. He looked up. Sammy's little claws were hung
tightly into his ear. He didn't say anything. He felt good about Sammy holding onto
him. Like a little pup. Blue looked at Naira shyly. She had sparkiling clear water around
her. She looked great to him. SHe always did.

Suddenly Blue felt something brush by his paw. His eyes widened. He fought the unstinct to scream. He stayed where he was. Again he felt somthing. He stuck his Snout in the water. It was a fish. A large one. He pulled his face from the water. Sammy was alittle wet and he felt alittle bad about getting him into the water.

Naira watched as Blue let Sammy crawl onto his head.

he is so patient with Sammy, I wonder how patient he'll be with 7 or 8.
Naira chuckled then shook her head, there I go again, thinking about pups..

She sighed and continued her swimming,her attention was drawn once againto Blue who had noticed a huge fish.

"Noone move an inch.." naira saidas quietly as she could, "my gosh, its enormous.." she added.

She glanced back at Sammy, who looked ready to pounce on a fish that was much larger than he was..

"Blue..." Niara said through gritted teeth.."Sammy is getting ready to pounce..."

Before Blue could stop him, he jumped. But he ended up hanging on to Blue's muzzel. As small as his
Little claws were, they still hirt a bit, and Blue swung him onto the back of his neck. Blue smiled.
Cute little thing....I wonder if I had my own.... Then he stoped. He didn't know how Naira would
respond, so he just smiled.

Sammy seemed gratful of Blue. He purred and cuddled up against his fur. Blue stepped out of the water.
He but sammy down and shook the water from his fur. He looked like a huge puffy marshmellow that came
out of a microwave.

Naira winced as she saw Sammy dig his tiny claws into Blue's muzzle
thats gotta hurt, but look how patient he is..
She rushed over to Blue's side and ducked as he shook his fur. He looked like a giant marshmallow. Naira bit her lip to keep from laughing but it was to no avail.
"Blue, I-I'm sorry..but Y-You look like a giant marshmallow!" she collapsed into laughter, but then recovered. "erm, I'm sorry about that," it was then she rembered the scratches. "Blue..you have scratches all over you.." she leaned over and licked his muzzle.

Blue didn't mind her laughting. It was better than Yonic when he saw during a
practice race. "They- don't hurt realy." Blue said. He was lieng alittle. He haddn't
been hurt in a while, because thier owner was so good to them. Naira's tounge felt good
agaisnts the little cuts. "Um...thanks." He smiled. He was blushing, but not as bad as he
did when he first got to know her.

Were just like two parents over Sammy. He thought. Ecept Sam is a cat...
but other than that...perfect. He thought.

Naira smiled gently. "Thats good," she said quietly and gently nuzzled him.
"So..um.. should we go into town for a little while?" she asked Blue, "Or," she gestured towards the woods, "should we take a nice quiet walk in the woods?"
But poor sammy was all worn out from the swimming time.
"I think we should take him home," Naira whispered.
