ehh, let me be just honest, the movie looks like just another crappy childrens movie to me. :C

first, I was kinda interested in this, since its a wolf movie and all, but when I saw the trailer, not so much anymore.
the plot seems boring and cheesy, and so do the characters.

What is this I don't even....

Yeah, no. I know wolfaboos who will buy into anything with wolves in it will lap it up, but the chances of this being a good movie are just as likely as American signing the Kyoto Protocol.

That is to say, zero.

And call TVTropes, it's another Dogged Nice Guy.

I know right? Soooo boring and OVERUSED, might I add. Maybe if Justin Long (Humprey) played in less than 8 movies a year in the exact same role, it'd be less tiresome -_-

As I recall there are plenty of movies, mainly for kids, that other users liked, just because it looks like a "kiddy" movie, doesn't mean it won't be enoyable. I'm not so sure about the 3d bit though.

Its not the fact that its a kid's movie, for I love kid's movies. Its not the fact that its in 3D, EVERY movie is in 3D these days. Its the fact that it looks like another quick-buck movie and everyone's thrilled about it just cuz it has wolves in it.

I think they look rather cute, but I guess it's a matter of opinion. You can't always judge just by a trailer, and I'm not just thrilled because

it has wolves in it; the movie has a nice setting, in Idaho, where I was born. Movies don't always have to be expensive to be good.

You can judge by lack of quality xDDD As for it taking place in Idaho..... why?

I really wish I could say I have high hopes for this movie, but the style is downright depressing, and the hierarchy warped. The wolves look like poor reskins of Diego from ice age. Also, by default, I distrust 3d computer animation outside video games. I really belive the soul of 2d sketchy animation thathelped make balto such a fantastic movie is key to such movies, like this one. I think this MIGHT stand a chance of measuring up to balto 2. Depending on whether or not they keep character sung musical numbers out of it, that was the killing blow to balto 2 and 3 for me. This movie doesn't have a prayer against balto 1. It is most likely to be religated to the same corner I banished balto 2 and 3, open water (plotless shark attack movie) and a few others to. Balto 1 will remain on top. With jaws and alien

It's not so much the style they're made in, even though I don't like that either, it's the fact they seemingly paid hardly any attention to wolf anatomy for their models.
Even in the trailer the limbs stretch as if they're made of rubber. All the bones are broken, the wrong length or make of rubber. |:

We know what they can achieve with CGi, we've seen it in movies like Shrek and Up, this is hopeless.

The first clip actually kinda made me want to see it more, besides the standing-on-two-legs bit. YyyyyyeNO.

The characters seem believable, though, with personality anyways. The anatomy is a fail though, an EPIC one at that, and what's with all the wolves having mullets? And they couldn't think of a better name than HUMPHREY? Really?

Anyway, I may check it out, read some reviews online, and possibly go take my kid brother to go see it. I, like Gohst-Unit, are working on a Harry-Potter-length novel where all the characters are wolves and a few foxes, and it's a fantasy-based kind of book, like that owl movie coming out soon. I may like the inspiration as well.

Okay, I'm gonna share my honest opinion..

What looks good about it-
It looks like a cute movie, you gotta give it that. and despite the horrible anatomy, the animation is nice - especially with the pretty backgrounds. I also like the road trip theme to it, as I'm a sucker for a good adventure film. And being relocated to repopulate is certainly new, and offers a lot of potential for a decent adventure film.

What doesn't look so good-
For a start, the anatomy. The designs could be soooo much better if the wolf proportions weren't so ugly. They look like they're made of rubber, like UK said. what's with all the awkward flailing about and unecessary kung-fu stunts? why's Kate like some sort of amazing stunt animal? are all those amazing stunts necessary for hunting? also, the buggered pack formations, like Sora mentioned earlier. Have the creators forgotten about all the other pack ranks between the alpha and the omega? OH, and the terrible, terrible names. Ugh. I like 'Garth' though, sounds a bit more wolfish.

To be honest, I want to see it. I think the movie's fallen victim to poor advertising, which is why i'm not going to base ALL my judgements on merely the trailer.
