Re-united *Private RP: WWM and Lone*

She nodded softly, and watched where they walked. She looked around at the surrounding trees and bushes. She slowed her pace down till she was almost behind Tam and Kat. Even though she had been the alpha of her own pack, she would rather be in the back of a group.

"Goodnight." Kit said tersly, stepping into the densly dark cavern they had approached.

Kat followed, Tam close behind, but she abruptly stopped as Kit's mellow glare met her eyes, searing through the darkness, two orange orbs. She paused, sensing some untangible air of forboding. "...Kit?"

"Weren't you going to keep watch...?" His voice kept the same low, haunting pitch before he turned his head and retreated farther into the cave.

Tam felt affronted, an indignant look on his face. He looked questionably towards Kat, who lifted one shoulder mildly, before turning towards Sainiu. "What's his problem? He can't still be upset about the patrol today?" His voice was hushed, a hint of denial layered beneath it.

Kat brushed past him. "He apparently would rather we looked out for intruders." Her voice sounded more accepting than Tam's, but her eyes were downcast. She sighed, and settled down in the solid dirt. Then, resigned, she asked, "Who wants first watch?"

Sainiu stoped in mid walk, with two legs in the air when Kit went into the den by himself, leaving the three outside. She blinked in confusion and sat down "night." She looked back to Kat, and shifted her way over to the nearest tree, just watching the others. Sai looked to her paws, unsure if she was supose to offer.

Tam flattened his ears, one now missing a chunk, and went to the edge of the glade. "I'll just do it," he said, sniffing around.

Kat smiled to herself. Of course, she had set him up; Tam would never make a lady stay up to look for danger while he snored like a pup. "G'night then." She set her head down on her massive front paws and closed her eyes.

"Night," Tam replyed. "You too Sai," He seemed a bit put out, but didn't bother saying anything.

Sainiu watched him for a few moments, before sliding her upper body down till it hit the floor. She laid her head between her out stretched paws and closed her eyes. She didn't go to sleep though, she stayed stil just listening to the sounds around her, and focussing on the light sting the stilll yet to heal cuts gave her.

Hours had passed. The sky was a dull purple color and faded to a dark plum near te horizon. Stars winked through the filmy clouds whenever they parted long enough for their light to reach the ground. Cerebus padded quietly through the dense brush. He has slaughtered a dog-like creature, though he wasn't exactly sure. The darkness was not a problem for him to see through, but in his dazed frenzy of starvation he hadn't been fully aware when he killed the creature. It didn't bother Cerebus's conciese though; he just wouldn't tell the others. His stomach was sloshing noislessly with the victim's fluids, an apparent signal that he had gorged himself. Again, he didn't care. He was satisfied, and fully in his right mind. He never again would starve himself...
As he neared the location of the den, he noticed a few forms lying outside the den. He grimaced. No doubt Kit had posted them on guard. When would he learn that he didn't need a baby-sitter?
"Hey Tam."

Tam's eyes were getting droopy, but he became much more alert when Cerebus appeared throug the greenery. His eyesight wasn't as clear in the dark, but Cerebus's blue markings werr bright as day in the near-darkness. "Feeling better?" He asked immediatly, trying to keep himself awake.

Sainiu had difted off a while ago, but woke again when they started talking. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked two the shadowed figures ahead of her. She lifted her head to see the bright blue fur. Sai curled up again and rolled onto her back.

Cerebus noticed a flicker of movement. Sainiu had rolled over and was lying on her back. She seemed quite awake. His red eyes scrutinized her every breath. She's still here...?

Cerebus's judgemental look towards his sister made Tam feel uneasy. He cautiously stepped into Cerebus's veiw, sheilding his sister from his searing glare.

"I'm fine." Cerebus was still staring loathsomly at the brown female when he pushed past Tam. Lowering his head, he stepped into the den and was gone.

Sainiu tensed once she felt as someone was watching her. When she heard the other leave, she waited a few moments before opening her eyes. She looked to Tam and got up, walking over to him, staying low to the ground "I can watch Tam, you look tired..." she said softly.

Tam looked dully over to his sister. "That's fine Sainiu," he stiffled a yawn, "it's you their after." He instantly regretted saying that. "I m-mean...uhm...Y-you need your rest, Sai. I can just wake Kat." He looked at his feet sheepishly as he was interupted by Katmai, breathing deeply in a sound sleep. "...Or something..." He murmured, knowing full well that he wouldn't bother Kat.

She shook her head "But you are..." she stoped, trying to think of somthing so she didn't sound... Stupid. "You need rest too, and I was already asleep, and I won't get back to bed. I know they are after me, but I could easily wake you guys.." she said softly, looking over her shoulder, at nothing.

Tam flattened his ears. "O....O...kaaaaay....." he brought himself to conscent, not being able to fight is heavy eyelids any longer. "You know whenn to....to wake us, hmmm?" He dragged himself over to where Sainiu had been slumbering and sat down with a thud. His demeanor turned serious. "Seriously. Whenever you see anything. Tell us." His limbs buckled beneath him as he settled into the warm leaves.

"Cerebus?" Viola was apparently awake.

He grimaced impatiently. "Go back to sleep."

"What are you doing? You haven't left the den in weeks!" Being compassionate was not one of her strong points.

"I....I was hungry," He stated matter-of-factly.

"Hmph," Viola stood and circled her sleeping area. "That's never stopped you before." Cerebus walked farther into the cave. "Stop making all that noise!" she hissed. Their kind had extra sensitive hearing. "Just go to sleep, Cerebus. Kit will be pleasedyou made it back...I'm sure that's what he's been tense about." She snuffed lightly and turned her back on him.

".........Night." Cerebus felt burned by her last statement. Kit didn't trust him? His red gaze seared into the darkness. Why?

Sainiu's ears perked to hear far off walking. She jumped up softly and looked around, she steped back a step and looked behind her 'should I wake them up? I don't know if it is anything... might be a rabbit..'. Sai let out a low sigh and watched.
