Hayumi smiled "No, its okay I do that alot to." She smiled "Memories are stronger than us I guess?" She laughed slightly and then looked over her shoulder "I live right over that hill, the lake is pretty big and there are trees sorrounding it." She smiled, then it hit her "Who do I remind you of?" SHe asked his suddenly, hoping this wasn't dead bones that he'd liked buried and not out in the open.

Xinal relaxed his body as he sat down. His blue eyes scanning the skies watching birds and cloud cover float overhead without a care. "Oh that lake." He muttered, "I did make a mistake. I didn't pass that one nor was I able to visit it as well. The other groundwolves said so themselves that that lake was beautiful." He just grinned into the sky.

"Who do I remind you of?"

Xinal's mood instantaneously darkened despite the fact that his face was still facing the sun. He remained quiet for several minutes. The sound of grass swaying in the wind seemed louder than it should be.

"She disappeared a long time ago..." was all he said in a quiet voice. "...along with the rest of the pack I lived in."

Hayumi frowned "I-I'm sorry for your loss, I mean I lost my mate just a few months ago and it was hard, it still is.You don't have to speak of her if you don't wish." She said truthfully, her ears back in pain as she remebered Levi.

Xinal had kept on staring at the sky. He thought he saw the wings of his long lost love but it was only another animal flying lively up above in the sky. "How are you doing?" He whispered to himself, "Enjoying the skies? How's our li'l one doin'?" The gray silver wolf blank eyes just stared at the clouds drifting overhead.

"...You don't have to speak of her if you don't wish."

Xinal suddenly snapped his focus on Hayumi's face. After a few moments he unexpectedly smiles. "That's alright. Keeping problems bottled up is not good for your health." He turned to look around at the other ground wolves. "I have kept mine for too long... and so much more." He unwittingly added.

Hayumi popped her head around, her smile fading "Me too Xinal..." She muttered upettingly, voice now cracking as memories began to flood back like a current of pain.
her father growled as she dropped the deer into the storage for her family "Its to small!" He snapped, her eyes in age as he struch her, her nose began tobleed as she began walking normaly towards her den, the 3 month year old pup had already taught heself to fend for herself.He grabed her by the neck with his teeth, clamping down as she made no sound "Go out there and get another!" He growled, she snarled intestly as she stood up "Why don't you, you worthless excuse for a wolf!" She growled as she began to walm away, she was preparing herself for a strong bow, and it came to her.She fell againts a rock, her head rolled tro her side as she let the blood seep down her back and into her fur."St-Stop.." She managed to say, her eyes fluttering open as her sister came up behind her father, laughing.

Xinal didn't wish to intrude into anyone else's memories, seeing that Hayumi was lost in her own. He didn't want to look like a guy who likes to pry into the past personal matters of others. So he let himself be soothed by the wind the blew through the area.

((OOC: Might as well figure out how to develop our characters while we wait for Jaiko to return lol))

Hayumi looked back at Xinal, feeling that he felt the same way she did.She fluttered her wings as she sat down completley, tail wrapping around her legs "You can tell me if you want, I'm a good listener and I don't judge." She said kindly.

Xinal looked down at his paws and explained, "I don't recall my birth pack anymore, nor the time I spent wandering afterwards." He turned to look at the direction north east. "I was probably a season old when I joined a pack called Yin and Yang. Everyone was kind there. In fact in that area there were three packs occupying a portion each. Two of them were always in a constant state of war. I can't recall the names of the other two anymore but one it was a discernable good pack fighting an evil pack. My pack was the neutral pack. Though occasionally we did fight it was to try and put a stop to the two." He glanced to the sky, his eyes hidden from her staring out into the depths of his mind that played back before him. "I just loved the comaradery I felt when I was with that pack. I felt like I belonged, we all had developed that bond so much so that commands went on unspoken to one another during hunts."

His starry-eyed gaze turned its attention to Hayumi. "We were close, even our pack leader, Teleost, was down to earth and always was with the rest of the pack doing as much work as everyone else. Then there was Safira..." He drifted off again, lost in thought. "I remember the times we took care of her pup, and I'd be chasing them through the forest. They both had wings so I lost at that game." Xinal started to snicker as he relieved the memories. He also remembered jumping out of a tree to catch them. "I am NEVER going to jump off a tree again!" He reaffirmed his promise to himself right then and there in front of Hayumi. Then he realized. Are all winged wolves Luna Wolves? So far he had met two: Daiku and now Hayumi. Daiku claimed that Hayumi was a Luna wolf as well. Did it follow that Safira and her pup were too? His expression showed his shift to deep thought.

((OOC: Just a disclaimer I don't own the characters or the pack mentioned. They were my fellow RPmates in an old proboards forums where Xinal used to roam and interact. I'm only going to be mentioning them when I rp. I don't want claim that I own them. I just have this tendency to want to keep my characters histories in consistent order. Makes it feel like Xinal is actually living and experiencing various things and develops naturally. Cheers! ^_^ If perhaps there is a rule that says it's not ideal to do this, I'll go ahead and change the names and whatnot.))

Hayumi nodded "I don't know that feeling.." She said weakly, her past rushed in with more emotional pain forcing itself out."My father would beat me, I taught myself how to hunt at a age to early.My older sister was sheltered as I was thrown out of the den to fend for myself." She winced, recalling the last time she was hit by him."Then I ran when I was around almost a season old." She looked down, recalling the time when she ran into her once mate.

Xinal turned to look at her and smiled. "At least you learned hunting early, and that's a skill we can never forget." He tried to lift her spirits, for sure he had lifted his own by sharing his own experience. Then he realized that he might've interrupted her story. "I'm sorry for interrupting. Gö on." He said looking away in embarrasment.

Hayumi faked a smile that grouped with a million more that she had forced to make onto her face since birth."No, its okay.I was done anyways." She smiled, eyes twinkling like always.Her neck tensed, there was way to much more, and she didn't think he wan'ted to know, nor did she think she could handle it.

He nodded to Hayumi in response and looked away, he noticed that Hayumi probably wanted to stop anyway. After glancing away from Hayumi he noticed two canines leave the congregation. For a moment he wondered where they were going only to realize that they were the two wolves that Daiku was speaking with earlier. Why are they leaving the pack? Was something bothering them? or was something happening elsewhere. Quite frankly for him this council meeting is starting to drag on longer than his normally long patience would hold. The other wolves were only taking it as a chance to rest or to chat amongst each other. "At least we are not at war with each other."

For a few moments he started to ponder on whether to follow them.

Hayumi smiled again "Yeah, true." She said, lightening the mood.Her wings spread out in pain, they had been held in place for to long "Does this normaly take this long?" She asked him, pondering if it was something drasticly important or something.

"Not normally..." Xinal wondered looking to the sky, to check on the time of day. It was past sunhigh. He felt like he had been sitting there for the past moon or so. He decided to go out and hunt. He turned to Hayumi. "Since nothing is happening, I'll see if I can go out and hunt. If you want to come along then by all means." He stood on his four legs and padded over to the Beta who was in charge of the Pack. His request was granted and Xinal returned to Hayumi. "Will you stay here?"
