"I know you're not really like that, I can see it in your eyes that deep down, you don't believe you're a bad dog or going to be a bad mother." he said. "Just you've buried that part so deep you need help finding it."

I'll promise to try to be the best dog I can be," Suki said. "But I'm not gonna promise you that it's gonna turn out that way you want. 'Cause you should know by now that life isn't always fair and it seems like fate likes to go the round about way."

"And I'm not fond of big brothers bossing around their little sisters but that's your life, I have no say there." he said. "But you can't boss me around because you've got no control over me." he said. "I'll listine to your sister though because she's my friend, you're not at the moment because you've been very rude to me so far." he said. "I respect you're her brother but I don't have to listin to you." Luke chuckled. "And sometimes fate just wants you to help yourself and it will meet you halfway." he said.

"I'm merely stating a fact, I don't have any need to listine to you." he said. Titan stepped between the two males. "Alright, lets settle it down." he said, he was in better physical shape that Rust, a left over from his days in the dog fights and him staying fit. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't talk about aomething I think in importent." said Luke, wagging his tail. "Like cheering you up." he said. He nuzzled her. "Look in my eyes, can you tell what kind of dog I am?" he asked. "I'm not being random, I just have a point to make."

He straghtened his posture into something more reasonable. "When do we leave?" he asked, changing subject. "As soon as we can. Now, I think." Jess looked at Titan and Jarret for confirmation. Suki barely looked Luke in the eyes. "Kid, I already know that your a good dog. Or else you wouldn't be hanging around with and trying to change someone like me."

"We'll wait for Mako to get further away, forgetting that Rust wouldn't know who Mako was. Luke moved her face to look into her eyes gentle with his paw. "I want you to understand how I know you're a good dog inside." he said. "My mom said the eyes are the portals to the soul, the one place no one can hide their true colors." he said. "Its not something you can learn, its something you have to discover, everyone has it, you just have to find it inside you." OOC: I know Luke is being a bit wise, its supposed to be how he was raised.

"He owned a dog fighting ring." he said. "I was in it and I escaped." he said, hiding for Suki, not wanting him to know something she didn't want anyone to know. "He's after me and I think Suki for some reason." he said. "He's a sadistic psychopath and the only way any of us will be safe is getting out of town, he might even start taking strays for a dog fighting ring." he said. "My papa." said Luke, sad but proud to talk about his father. "He was a coyote." he said. "Even though a lot of dogs say they're viscious, they're wrong about Coyotes." he said. "They're smart about a lot of things." he said. "One of them is what I just said, the thing with the soul." he said. "Spiritual stuff, which isn't hocus pocus, its true, no one has ever been able to lie to me because I see the truth in their eyes."

"Then the sewers sounds like an excellent idea," he said. "Are you sure you wanna get yourself into this mess, Jess?" He really hoped that she'd back out. "Yes, I;m sure," Jess said with confidence. "I;m not backing out now." "Yeah, my mom used to tell me all kinds of stories about the moon and the stars and what they really mean," Suki said. "She was half wolf, you know. And when no one wanted to adopt me, I spent a few night with just her. We used to looked at the night sky and all that was up there, and it used to make me feel so small compared to the expanse of what could be out there."
