I'll enter one of the dogs from a pair of a.... bizarre breed. (and yes, they do exist.)
Name: Calpurnia
Gender: Female
Age: 1 year
Breed: New Guinea Singing Dog (Note: Singing Dogs can change the pitch of their howls, so they sound like they're "singing".)
Parents: Unknown
Siblings: Capote
Personality: Calpurnia is the stereotypical polite Southern belle. She refers to everyone as "sir" and "ma'am". She doesn't like getting involved in conflict. She deviates from the belle stereotype by being a very hardy active dog. Despite her prim and proioper behavior, she is far from uptight. She doesn't mind getting dirty or being sparingly crude. Her real passion is the arts; mostly theatre and music. Her owner is a jazz/blues musician and she loves to howl along with the music he plays.
Family Relations: Calpurnia is very close to her brother, Capote. Capote is much more invested in music than she is.
Fears: Squirrels. Yes, squirrels. She chased one up a tree, the squirrel proceeding to throw heavy acorns at Calpurnia. She's had a slight fear of squirrels ever since.
History: Calpurnia and Capote were stowaways on a trade ship from New Guinea. Not realizing how special this breed was, the traders gave the pups away to their current owner. Previous to this, their master had been a successful jazz and blues musician. He liked the dogs for their unwavering loyalty. However he decided to retire and moved to Alaska for some peace and quiet, taking the two dogs with him.
It took a while for them to get used to Alaskan life, especially since compared to the strong huskies and malamutes, they were considered smaller and insignificant. Both of them managed to weasel in a spot in the hearts of the townspeople, the pair howling duets to any music they heard in town whether it be radios, record players, even someone humming or whistling.
Picture: Previous to writing this, I didn't have a picture since I only had a bio for her and never got around to a drawing. So... sorry for the craptastic drawing. I'm on a school computer.
