"Jenna, you do know that a vixen's pups come VERY early? And even though his attitude was different before he and Tear...you know, he still could of done it. And I don't know of ANY dog with the same colors as Balto and Amber around here."

It says no more characters are needed, but you probably could if you pm Tear about it.

Balto listened slowly to Niara's words. And in truth, this was what he had been secretly thinking too. It hadbeen easy enough when Amber was a tiny cub...but now she was older, she needed more love, real adult guidance, and Balto was unusre of what to do. Suudenly all his pent-up feeling exploded out of him.

"But it's not our fault Niara! We can't give Tear the love of true parents...becasue well, we're not mates! My hearts taken...and I try to love Amber as a father and spend as much time with her as I can, but its hard because....well she's just not my cub! I shouldn't be in this mess, none of this should have happened to me!!!" his voice suddenly rising to a yell as the hidden passion vibrated through his voice. He paused awkwardly, and then lay down on the snow, letting a deep sigh out of his lungs. Suddenly his brow furrowed determindly.

"She's already sussed that somethings not right.....It's about time she found out who her real parents where."

"Saba! You know things that have been set can not be changed. And why, why are you coming in with this one year later. I'll talk with Trevor about it and see what we can do. But for now, everything remains the same!" He barked. He hated yelling to Saba but he knew that she knew this. He stormed away in search of his father.

Later....

Levi and Trevor sat in the old mill, alone. "Dad, what should we do." Trevor thought for a moment. "Levi, this is what we shall do. I need you to send the call that a meeting will be held here. But I need you to let in only the dogs who know about this. For example, Amber will not be aloud to be here. It would be to hard on her. We will give them my judgement and that will be that."

Levi nodded and walked outside. He howled the call and let in only the dogs who knew about it.

Balto took a deep breath, and then looked his "daughter" in the eyes.

"Amber, as you may have guessed by now, I am not your real father...and Niara isnt your real mother. Your real mother was a fox called Tear, she was beautiful just lie you, and, well she never told us about your father..." he fidgeted uncomfortably. "Please, I don't wnat you to be hurt by all of this, I love you as any father would, but I just think that you're old enough now to be told of your true history. Unfortunately your mother Tear died bringing you into this world, and we tried everything we could, but we couldn't save her." his voice trailed off as the memories came flooding back to him.


P.S. Is Balto part of the meeting?
