Granger narrowed his eyes and stifled a laugh. This was exactly what he expected. A torn allegiance seeing that she had already betray them once for whatever reason. "I sense your hesitation." He sat upright, "But maybe coercion might be more your style." He muttered making the ground sway slightly.

He felt the fiery personality of Vixen rising. His own power was starting to resonate with being in the vicinity of the other but he did his best to control it and layer it under the ground beneath them. The end result: the ground suddenly become warm.

Xinal paused at his halfway point. He stood atop the cliff where he stayed for a few minutes before he finished the last leg of the patrol. This was near the spot where he came across Nyx, Daiku, and Vixen the day before. His thoughts were becoming more and more uncertain as he tried to figure out Granger. He only started to doubt actively Granger's rule, why he even stuck around instead of joining the other packs.

He closed his eyes, a flashback hitting him. He saw the old pack where he was born in. Then one which was ruthlessly murdered by another rival pack. A spark flew through the air as he felt all the confusion and anger he felt. He opened his eyes with a strange look in them. They weren't the defeated look he had once been known for. It was something else. Suddenly a flash of light sparked in front of him, reflecting off his eyes. His mind set on something.

He returned with a resolute mind but a composed body. This was not the time yet.

Vixen sighed and turned to Granger, eyes blazing an orange-red fiery color now. "The Wind Wolves have done nothing to you. Therefore, I shall not make their status known so they may not be wiped off this earth by the likes of you, Granger."

Granger returned the gaze cooly, waiting. "I see," He closed his eyes once more. "If that's the case," Granger opened his eyes, an unnatural glow coming from them. "I'm putting you on the front lines of the assault on the Wind wolves." He said, the tension in the air heating up dramatically, and literally. The heat around these two wolves were making the objects in the far distance waver. All that was clear was two lengths of what ever was in front of you. Otherwise everything else was wavy as the light bent around the vicinity.

"Unless.... you dare to challenge..." Granger mocked. He definitely was starting to get annoyed with this wolf's challenging and questioning of his authority. Especially that she's a prisoner.

Xinal stopped over a hill and felt the air suddenly become warm. "What is happening?" He looked around. His eyes passed over the spot where Granger and Vixen were standing on, the light being bent so much so that anyone at Xinal's position can't see them unless if they paid close attention.

"You have no idea who I am, and what I can do." Vixen curled her lip, fangs bared at Granger, and she stood on her paws infront of him. "I'll take the challenge!"

Sinking her claws into the ground, a circle of flames surrounded her, but small ones. It was clear the strange wolfess was trying to keep under control.

"Even though I'm banished from the Wind Wolf Pack, I solumnly swore to them that I would still fight for their honor and existance, right before I left. And I shall do so now."

Granger narrowed his eyes. The reflection coming from his eyes turning green to amber then a blend of the two. "I have to admit, you do have spirit, kid." The ground around him shook suddenly and violently. Steam rose up as the heat of battle was barely contained within the two wolves.

Xinal then heard Vixen and Granger's barks. He snapped his head towards the land to his left where he thought he couldn't see anything. "No..."

Vixen gave Granger a smirk, eyes narrowing to slits. She whipped around and dug up the dirt. It sprayed up in Granger's face, cooling him off slightly, but soon it started getting hotter and hotter, until it was on fire each time she kicked it at him.

Rolling forward and stopping that move, she turned and glared at him, fangs bared and claws flaming.

Granger ducked around each of the clumps of dirt that was thrown up at him. When he realized that the pieces of ground that were being thrown up at him were on fire he smiled.

"Nice tactic." he commented before slamming his forepaw to the ground, bringing up the earth in front of him. It spiked out of the ground towards Vixen at an incredible speed. He then lurched forward pushing with the paw he used to bring up the earth. His other paw outstretched for an attack planned to hit after the earth glaive should hit Vixen.

Vixen watched as he made the next move, and planned each step carefully. The wolfess suddenly whipped around in circles, and rings of fire blew out from her, slamming the earth away incredibly harshly.

Granger, in mid-leap, noticed Vixen's counterattack repelling the ground glaive that was heading towards her. He cancelled his slash, since she was not in her initial place anyway, and, using a paw to hit the ground in mid-air, he spun around to face her. As his whole body hit the ground a wall of hardened soil rose up in front of him, shielding him from the fire blast that came from Vixen.

"She's good..." He muttered before crouching low. He leaped high up into the air with the ground catapulting him upwards. As he reached the height of his jump he could feel himself slowing as gravity started to take its rule and bring him down. He felt the sun on his back and felt refreshed by it. His eyes blazed with a scarlet as bright as fire as he came down towards Vixen, fire blazing around his body as he accelerated. A giant cone of fire ripping through the air. Upon impact, an explosion of fire and earth rippled out. Granger never felt so alive as he felt the power of both earth and fire course through his body.

Vixen readied herself, looking up at Granger accelerating. She curled her lip and lunged up, colliding with him and slamming him to the ground, a flaming claw to his throat.

"hmph." Her eyes narrowed cooly. She had him pinned.

Granger felt the flaming paw on his neck. Far from being burned, he actually was enjoying the warmth it brought. "You are very gifted." His fore paws shifted on his sides placing them on the ground on either side of his body. Suddenly he howled. The ground around him slammed forward towards Vixen. If one would look at the aftermath the result would look like a tent.

Vixen let out a yelp of suprise as darkness came over her, and she found out she was enclosed in rock. Growling, she rammed straight into it with suprising strength, and knocked a hole out of the side. Digging through it, she managed to slip through to the ouside thanks to being so slim.

A flare of fire was thrown directly in front of Vixen. The burning embers disintegrating just before reaching her muzzle. Granger was standing to the side, turning the ground around them into sand as soft as the ones you'd see on the beach. once nearly the whole area was turned to sand he let out a blast of flame hitting the sand all around them, the following reaction turning the sand into... glass.

The wolfess curled her lip and merely raised an eyebrow. Sure, Granger was strong, but was he slim and fast? Not from what she could tell. However, she began to look as if thinking things over.
