Doesnt matter what kind of kit the drummer has, it's how well he can play it.
A guy with just a snare, hi-hat and bass drum could make it sound good if he was decent enough

I have to agree with Squival, because one of my friends knows this guy with a really nice drum set, its a 7-piece kit, but he can't play the drums. See he thinks he can and he likes heavy metal, but hes just randomly hitting the drums to make noise, it does not osund good at all. In fact, its kind of depressing because he thinks hes doing at great job and there is no beat whatsoever.

Yes practicing or lessons would do good things for him. Cool, Guns N Roses? I love them too. haha <333
