I also heard that if she wrote the rest of Midnight Sun that she'd change the ending and kill everyone. WHAT?!?! That better not happen SMeyer. I swear to the almighty HEAVENS that we Twilighters shall NOT be amused!!! She is NOT having a temper tantrum. How would you like it if people started revealing your books to the whole world before you had the chance to finish?! Now it sucks, doesn't it? So what if she kills everyone off? It's her book, and her book is the way she wants it, not the way the crazed frenzy of Twilight sharks want it. And I read them for what they are, not because Edward's hot, or Emmett's cool. I read them because they are books that I happen to like. That's all they are, yet everyone is going insane over them and not letting the d*** lady who wrote them in the first place finish writing. Call me obssessed? No. You do, and I will rant off this forum. Why do you need to be obssessed over it? Get over this. It's a book. Does it really mattter that much? And sure, it's a good series, but I think it's way too graphic(remember, half the people who read Twilight and the series are teens who really should be learning about good). I think Edward is too perfect. AND who cares if he's 'hot'? Like I said, half the people who read Twilight and the series are teens who really shouldn't be thinking a man MUCH older than them is 'hot'. And not to sound offensive, but do you realize Stephenie Meyer isn't the one recieving awards for her book? Kids Choice Awards, March, 2009: Twilight wins favorite book series, but who accepts the award? Is it Stephenie Meyer? The answer is a big, fat, N-O. Taylor Lautner accepted the award for a book he probably NEVER read. While Stephenie Meyer worked her butt off making the series, he accepted the award she deserved. And I'm just started. THANK you! I never read the books, but I don't have as much interest in vampires as I do in werewolves. And who cares if she kills off her characters? She wrote the book, she created those characters, she owns the rights to everyone in the book, so she can do what she wants with them! And why the heck did Taylor accept the award? He didn't write the book, and was barely in the first movie at all! I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Taylor Lautner, but still, it wasn't his right to take the award unless SMeyer called in sick. And no she's not having a temper tantrum! Those insane Twilight fans hacked into her account or something and read Midnight Sun before she even finished it! They had no right to do that, and I heard that when the first Twilight movie came out, those crazed fans brought blood offerings and vampire stuff like that. THAT proves how completely OUT OF THEIR MINDS these Twilight fans are. Not all of them, but the majority.

Definition of the Twilight series: Twilight is a 434 page waste of ink and paper, bound in black, with a picture of an apple on the front (oooh, I wonder what that symbolises, you Mormon cultist). It makes excellent firewood, but be careful, accidental contact with the content of the book can result in contraction of the deadly Twilight Virus (see below). This needs sorting: http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Twilight_Virus

But seriously, Twilight has gotten a bit out of hand with those fans. I mean, the night the movie came out, people were bringing vampire fangs and blood offerings! BLOOD OFFERINGS! Sheesh, get real people, vampires are FICTIONAL! They're myths! Edward Cullen isn't gonna come to your door with a da*n bouqet, ok?

BLOOD OFFERINGS! XD Do you have a news link of this? This one is the only video I can find that shows how crazy the Twilight fans are... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma7ml39g5h4...but sadly, I couldn't find a clip from the news about the blood offerings. It was so insane, I'm glad I waited until the DVD because I personally thought it sucked >.<

...it was only a matter if time before Twilight bashers showed up.
You know, the funny thing about Twilight haters is that, half the time, they haven't even READ the ***** books. They just look at the concept and instantly decide they don't like it, or look at the crazed demented fans, and decide they don't like it. It's quite sad, really. "Oh god, sparkling vampires? How gay. I'm not going to read this, ew." Or they're guys, and say "It was obviously written just for girls, so I'm not interested."
I think this is hardly a good reason to put anyone off. If it's not your thing, fair enough. But ... why the hell do you have to go HATING something you haven't even READ? "I've not read Twilight, and I don't ever plan to! It sounds awful! The fangirls are sooooo annoying!!!11" - How the hell do you know if you haven't read it? Are you REALLY that close-minded? FFS.
And here's a note to both haters AND fans. WHY must you hate/stop enjoying something JUST because it's popular? I still love the saga, in spite of the annoying fans. Hell, I read and loved the books before I'd even heard of them, or had any idea how popular they were! My first thought after finishing the first book was: "The whole world needs to know about this book." I got online ... and found out it already did. Some of my friends had read it too, and they loved it. My boyfriend loves it (I got him into it before we were together), and we love watching the films together - both at the cinema and on DVD. And to clarify, he's a guy, 100% straight. Shocked? Well, screw you.
By the way, I'm not pointing this at anyone in particular. if you hate the book, that's fine. Heck, even I enjoy poking fun at it. Especially at Jacob; cuz he's an a**. But for god's sake, stop bashing people who love it and giving them reasons why they SHOULDN'T. I'm not saying you NEED to like it, so...
And you know what's REALLY sad? How Twilight haters used to be like "I hate Twilight ... don't kill me." Well, it's not the other way around. Twilight lovers are now afraid to say they love it. But I'm not. I simply say, "I love Twilight. Deal with it."
And that's my two cents. Please note: this is based on experience, not opinion.

Actually, quite a lot of these "haters" have read it to see how supposedly bad it really is. I did myself, although it enlightens you on the better bits, like some side characters that have interesting stories but sadly get pushed aside. And some of the fangirls are quite freakish. Example right above, blood offerings

Jasper, from the army and found by Alice, Rosalie going and murdering her husband in her wedding dress, Jacob struggling with the reality he's a teen werewolf thingo etc... but they were all shoved aside because Bella and Edward's uninteresting love thing was far more important. Especially in Eclipse where Jacob's character was totally murdered by having him force himself a bit onto Bella, because otherwise he'd be becoming too cool to the viewer and not enough of a b-tard. Ugh.

Sardonyx wrote: Personally I don't like Twilight. In my own opinion (and I don't mean to offend Twilighters here) it was boring and Bella and Edward's love wasn't developed fully enough. However Jacob was good until Eclipse and Alice was quite cool. It's a shame we didn't see enough of her. Alice was my favourite. 8D And seriously... undeveloped love? Are you kidding? Tell me, what movie these days HAS 'developed' love? In animated films, it takes characters around 2-3 days to fall in love. And what about Romeo and Juliet, the 'greatest love story ever told'? All the events there happened in the course of 4-5 days. And a lot happens. They see eachother, fall in love, have sex, get married, and die. 4-5 days. So, I don't know why you're complaining about Twilight there. Cobaltié wrote: She actually had some interesting minor characters going on.

Ugh. I hate Jacob. So much. Urgh >.< And Edward and Bella aren't even my favourite, although I must admit, I do love their relationship. Alice was my absoloute favourite, and Jasper's awesome too. As was Emmett, Seth and Leah (the wolves.)

I hate how on TV or movies it takes such a short time. But hey, very true, but Twilight was SUPPOSED to be taking place in the "real" world.

Quote: Tell me, what movie these days HAS 'developed' love? Just because movies these days don't, it doesn't mean movies these days shouldn't. Quote: ... as was Romeo & Juliet, at the time. Well the thing is Romeo & Juliet was set a loong time ago. In Shakespeare's time, girls as young as 12 were getting married and mainly they got forced. To have a choice, to do that daring was something unknown in the Tudor times, and it was a true symbol of passion. Things have changed so much since then. We have a choice and we have plenty of time to make these decisions.

And that's my two cents. Please note: this is based on experience, not opinion. Bravo! I'm gonna start lookin up to you now xD Same thing here. I love the series, but all the fans who are simply obsessed and all the haters have made it very hard to say that. But I'm gonna just come out with it. I love Twilight, no one can change that. But even though I love it, I'm not obsessed and I don't have my whole room filled to the brim with Twilight stuff (covers, pillows, cutouts, etc.) like a lot of fans too. And another thing, haters always judge someone if they like Twilight. Even if you remotely like it just a little, they'll assume you talk about it 24/7. It kinda sucks that people woul judge like that, but whatever. I don't talk about it 24/7 and I never will. And those who want to avoid me because of Twilight well screw them.
