Yeah, it's all a bit confusing. It gets worst if you lead into EV training.
But from what I know, EV points are extra points, normally 1, given to one of a pokemon's stats when it levels up based on what pokemon it fought to level up.
I believe PKRS's link to EV is that a pokemon with PKRS gains and extra EV point on top of the standard one that's given.
But don't quote me on it... at least, not entirely.

Indeed. It's a clever feature to Diamond and Pearl. Your Pokémon act like they've been traded, so they gain more experience per battle.

I haven't been playing it either. I've gotten a little sidetracked and overtaken by the Star Fox games (all five of them) right now.
It'll go away... eventually.
Current Status:
-Training for Elite Four in Victory Road.
Sloth wrote: Haven't been playing much, I need new types to train....does anyone know good Pokémon to train for PLANT and FIRE types? For plant, I've been thinking about either a Lileep, Victreebell, Leafeon, or Vileplume. I'm all out good Fire Pokémon; besides Heatran, there aren't very many good fire-types in D/P. Some help/suggestions would be appreciated!!
HEATRAN - Lv. 85 ROTOM (Statik) - Lv. 100 LUCARIO (Aniubis) - Lv. 100 ALAKAZAM (Kazza) - Lv. 100 GARCHOMP (Ripner) - Lv. 100 EMPOLEON (Torpedo) - Lv. 100
Now, I'm no expert on what pokemon is best in it's type but I do have suggestions... maybe.
As much as a deja vu this is, I suggest Ninetales or Arcenine for fire types. In Diamond and Pearl Vulpix can be caught in the wild by use of the Poke Radar if you have Pokemon LeafGreed in the game boy slot. The same goes for Growlithe but with FireRed.
Stick to what grass pokemon you suggested for yourself. They're good. Also, I've had good experiences with Roserade.
I can help you get a Vulpix, provided that your end is hooked to WiFi and that I get to playing and beat Elite Four.
Good luck.

I'd like to add that to get a Vulpix (or even a Ninetales...or most Pokemon) you could also utilize the Pal Park system, which is pretty nice...only I wish it would work on Yellow, Blue, Red, Gold, and Silver...but oh well...

I just got the National Pokedex, so I've been migrating a bunch of Pokemon from my FireRed and Ruby to my game card. I'd be willing to trade anyone, if they're interested, but keep in mind that I want some decent trades for these Pokemon. A lot of them are rare and impossible to get, so it's only fair that I expect what's given (unless I'm feeling generous).
Anyway, these are the Pokemon I'm offering and their levels and attacks. The list will be updated as new Pokemon arrive.
