Balto fan beaing teased?

Well I don't think it's really possible for a person to go through life without being teased or ridiculed in one way or another, it's just a part of growing up. People are insecure about there own selfs and have to make others feel the same or even worse to achieve any sort of satisfaction or happiness, personally I think it's both pathetic and hypocritical for someone to tease another person because they feel self conscious but that's just the way it is. No, personally I've never been teased about my Balto obsession but I've been ridiculed for several other things. There's no magical tactic to end ridicule, you just have to experiance it to know how to handle it.

I've never got teased from my friends that i like balto because my friends are real friends.

All the people who hate Balto at my school hate everything and no one pays attention to them.

All the people who are indifferent to Balto know I like it and never make fun of me.

My entire baseball team and math class knows I love Balto and they are either uninterested or love Balto with me.

I didnt care becuase they meant it but i knew it was true

My older brother picks on me alot, about everything. everytime im on the site he walks by and flicks my head. one time he got me banned by getting on my account and saying some really rotten stuf fin the shoutbox, but the mods didnt buy my story.

I'm suprised by how many people are harrased! I never get teased but I guess I'm lucky. A lot of people know that I love animation in general and respect that. But I also try to be confident about it too and as social as possible. It helps believe it or not.

I don't get teased for being a Balto fan, since very few people even know that I like Balto. I don't tell people in school that I'm a Balto fan, just in case I'd ever get teased about it. But people in school do know I love wolves. ^^

Well I've never been teased, Course I'm not in school now, and haven't been in a long long time.. My husband gets annoyed when I put balto on the tv (he's always like "NOT balto again" LOL but he doesn't care that I love balto! Balto stuff has completely overrun my home lol..

and see'ns how I've been big into balto since I was in elementery school I don't ever recall anyone bugg'n me about it!.. and if they did , I'd just ignore them, I don't care what people think about me really! If they don't want to like balto, then their loss is my gain!

Nooo. In fact, I've never told anybody about it and I don't have anything to do with it outside of animation source anyway, and I never use the school computers (it'd probably be blocked anyway xD). But even if they did know I don't think they'd care. I mean, they were all cool about my Lion King-ness last year and didn't think any differently of me for it, so yeah.

People at school are either my friends or people I don't know at all. So yeah, I don't really care what they think either way. And insults don't really bother me because they're usually jokes anyway.

Yeah,very often. My classmates are used to think that they already grew out of such movies.
And,they're always teasing on why I draw only dogs,wolves and lions.(Balto and TLK-my fave movies).I hated that! :evil:

Also,Zorro The Coyote,your post...It was the one of the rightest ones I've ever had to read.You're absolutely right about all that "drawing" thingy.

Nobody knows about my Balto obsession. So I dont get made fun of. But I mean seriously guys there is nothing wrong with being drawn to an animation or anything. People are very rude and immature. So just ignore and just remember that the Pack loves you!

Thanks. I do try and draw people in the same way Tim from "Ctrl+Alt+Del" draws them as he makes the whole thing simple but I don't very often, like I say; my views on my fellow human beings are pretty low and when you get picked on for doing something you like, it's no surprise. :roll:

A bit off-topic, it's like football. Everyone in England drools over it, although we are crap internationally (we haven't won any major football tournements since 1966). Football is the most self-serving thing in the world, in my opinion. I hate football players, every single one of them. You have children starving in Africa and and India and they get paid so much a minute to just kick a ball around. Am I missing something here? Yes, yes; they may find needless ways to kick into the back of a net but the bottom line is: big deal!

The way it affects me is simple: I'm an artistic person and hate sport in any way (I am a fan of swimming and badminton, but I wouldn't do it out of choice) and if you don't like football like a "normal" person, you're considered a nerd. If you like technology, you're a nerd, if you like argriculture (gardening), you're a nerd, if you like science, you're a nerd; the list goes on.

I think this also applies to Balto. If you know so much about a topic that no-one likes (or lacks knowledge of) you are the first choice to be bullied.

My thoughts exactly...

Some people just...Give up if their being teased. They leave their past interests, which for others seem weird, and tries to start to like the same that everyone do...That is a shame for me.
Cause it's like..."If you wanna go to school(etc for younger kids) instead of enjoy summer holidays,you're weird...If you like Balto(etc) instead of...(insert a movie name here) you're weird...".List goes on.

It just shows that you're a weak person that hasn't got his own thoughts or interests and just agree with what everyone else say,no matter you like it or not.That kills me.

I have never ever been teased about Balto or being a member of Balto Source... I just don't tell anyone. Also, I don't use any other computers except my sisters laptop and my computer. And I only use her laptop rarely, so she doesn't even see that I visit it.
