Flare wrote: Nicely done Juuchan...what program did ya use? Thanks! Actually, I used Paint Shop Pro X (PSP10) to make it. It was hard because I had never made one before, but I figured out a way to make each character first, then I put the finished characters together in place of their film counterparts. However, I have a plan on how to make them next time, so I'll try some of my other characters on my next rendering attempt! - Juuchan17 PS: Thank you all for the awesome comments! I might take a couple of character requests soon, but not yet (so if you PM me or leave a message here, I'll ignore it).

TikTac wrote: Would you mind if I made a banner for my next fanfic, or would you consider that stealing your idea? I don't wanna steal or anything, I just like the concept of a banner for the fic. No problem. I'm one of the few people that actually make banner for their fics, so don't feel afraid to join the fic banner gravy train! (I know, the joke sucked. XD) I think I've seen Kaynight (who wrote the series "Blaez the Beta Wolf" for example) do it also . . . and maybe a few others, but they weren't as high quality like the ones I make (no offense to you guys that make them!). - Juuchan17

Hurrah, new render from me! I've just sent them to BS, but I'll show them to you now! I used a new technique in order to make them look neater and for the outlines to seem darker than last time! Ta-da! These are two new characters that I've created for an original adventure/romance story called "By Sun and Moon." (if you've read my Writer's Presentation on BS, you'd have heard about it. Anywho, these two are the main characters of it, Cyrus (the orangey wolf - male) and Selene (the gray-silver wolf - female), and they're destined to bring their home clans (or in this case, Kingdoms) together by their arranged marriage since the day after their births. But I won't say anything else, or I'll spoil the rest for you! (Please don't steal this, okay? Thanks.) More graphics next time, okay? Ciao! - Juuchan17

Rebel-SPC(BF) wrote: Awww, excellent and adorable new renders Juunchan17 ^^ They do actually look like they're from the movie! What effect do you use to make the outlines darker? I'm having trouble with that.
But these are so neat and clean. :] I am also very jealous of your skills. XD Keep it up! ^^ Why, thank you! I try my best, but Cat's much better than I am. I'm still learning, but I teach myself by trying out new techniques . . . such as this one below! Actually, with PSP (Paint Shop Pro X - the program I use for my graphics and renders), I choose the picture of the character that I want to render and erase the character's colors until there's only outlines left. Then after I erase the background (I copy the original picture so that the background remains intact, make a new layer underneath the outline of the character and then color it with the colors that I want for the characters. That's when things get difficult. Sometimes I alter the brightness of the outline layer so that it appears darker, but sometimes it doesn't work out perfectly like I want it. The eyes and the paws are usually the hardest part of it, but sometimes I leave the eyes alone and just do the head shots to avoid the paws. Also, I don't like adding the marking lines (like those dark lines on Aleu that were like the borders between her fur and her markings). I erase those to give the character that smooth look. However, I have successfully created by first full-body render: This is Denali, my fan character of the white-muzzled pup from WQ (yes, I know others have this one named Denali too . . . but I was the first. XD Seriously, I was.). Originally it was a shot of Kodi from WoC, but this one took about two days (on and off) to finish. The outline didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but I thought it looked pretty good from far away. I hope that helps, and good luck to you render wannabes out there! (And yes, that's a banner. You can use it if you like, but you can't alter it for your own character, okay? Thanks. Hmm, I might use it myself actually. . . XD) - Juuchan17

Oh you're very welcome! ^^ Juuchan17 wrote: Actually, with PSP (Paint Shop Pro X - the program I use for my graphics and renders), I choose the picture of the character that I want to render and erase the character's colors until there's only outlines left. And here is more proof of the effort you put into your graphics xD ^^ And the new Denali one is fantastic! ^^ He is so cute, and I love his expression. Cograts on your first full-body render! You did it very well ^^ 'Tis very clean, like your previous graphics ^_^ Keep it up J17, you show some serious talent already ^^

I dunno. However, it is a very time-consuming process, but it's all worth it in the end. BTW, Denali's banner is the first in a hopefully set of six renders of each of Balto's children (yes, that means I'll (try to) make a Aleu render . . . probably using Balto, since their bodies are similar. The eyes will be difficult to do, but I'll manage something . . . unless I use a different character for her. I do know I'll use Balto's body for Dingo, Jenna's for Saba, Kodi's for Yukon . . . not sure on Kodi's or Aleu's really . . . or if I'll even be able to render them in the first place.). Glad you like it! - Juuchan17
