It took Kat a few moments to gather herself, before she turned to look at him. She brought the cup to her face and sipped on her coffee through pursed lips. Once finished, she finally spoke.
"Yes, Alfred?" She asked.

"I-I'm really sorry...I make a pretty sh*tty hero.." Alfred said, frowning down at the dark brown coffee in his mug.

"B-But im supposed to make everybody happy..and i can't...when im with Arthur, but i can't if i was with you!" He cried, his lower lip quivering.

"You aren't superman regardless, so this arguement is just a waste of time." Kat snapped, her eyes filled with ice blue fire.

Alfred's expression weakened and he looked more hurt.
"Well you're just a shi**y friend who can't get over a guy who loves someone ELSE!" Alfred snapped back, storming off into the room.

Kat winced at his hurtful words and didn't object. Moments later, she heard Patch enter the house, a sound she'd become used to. He walked in, a bag of groceries in his hands, "I picked up somesoy milk and organic-" He was cut off by the sight of Kat, sitting on the couch, tears in her eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked, setting down the bags and coming to her aid. She was hurting Patch by just thinking of Alfred, how could she do that? What was wrong with her? He cuppered Kat's hand in his own and looked at her. "What's wrong?" He repeated. Kat took a shakey breath and wiped the tears away from her eyes.
"Nothing, I'm okay." She lied. Patch shifted himself so that he was sitting next to her and kissed her forehead.
"You're not okay." He confirmed, looked at her with his black eyes.
"Yes. I. Am." She muttered.
"No your not." He insisted, wiping away a tear on her cheek with his thumb.
"I just...I don't know..." She lied again.

Arthur watched Alfred flop onto the bed, slamming the door shut behind him.
"Alfred..?" Arthur asked, before he was pulled down onto the bed, and pulled into a crushing hug.

"You're okay, Kat. I've got you." Patch said softly, but he didn't touch her anymore than putting a hand on her shoulder. He would't smother her. Kat threw herself at Patch and burried her face in his chest, it was then he held her. "Ssshhh" He hummed, stroking her head. Kat finally stopped and rubbed her reddened eyes.
"Thanks.." She muttered, trying to not feel so guilty.

Alfred cried into Arthur's chest, leaving the brit confused, but he stroked the american's back lovingly.

"I-" Kat began, but then cut herself off, she couldn't say it, she couldn't. Kat looked at her hands, her world buzzing around in her head.

"What's wrong?" Arthur cooed, and Alfred looked up at him, and shook his head.

"I-" Kat tried again, she took a deep breath, and then..."I can't do it anymore Patch." She blurted. He looked at her, confused a bit.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"I-I...I dunno...I can't be in a relationship..." Her voice was hallow.
