Warbler sniffed at the dog, and crawled out a tad bit further to get a better look. Dalton sniffed, and woke up, looking around. He popped up and padded over to Duke.
"What's up? You look down..?" He asked, cocking his head.

The female was talking to Prince, all her attention on him. She had a soft voice and a slender form.
"Life just sucks," Duke sighed, laying his head down.

Dalton nodded and sat down. Warbler crept out further, itching to hear what the adult where talking about.

"I suppose so.." the female said, shuffling her slender paws. "Still.."
"You should get a human," Prince said. "At least until you calm down from your seperation drom your pack.."

Warbler cocked her head, wondering why they were talking about humans. He took a step forward, and stepped on a sharp twig. She yelped in suprise, tumbling out into the open.

The yelp scared the female, who jumped to her paws, the fur on her neck bristling.
Prince glanced over calmly. "Watch your footing kiddo." he stated simply.

Warbler looked at her paws as she stood.
"Sorry Prince..." She apologized, then looking up to the female.
"Who's this?" She asked, cocking her head.

When the female saw it was simply a pup she calmed down, but didn't sit back down.
"This is a friend of mine Warbs," Prince said.
"I...i really should go.." the female said shyly. "I'll...talk to you later i suppose, Prince."

"Why? Im not gonna hurt you...WHats'yer name?" Warber asked, trotting over to sit under Prince.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Mon Aug 29, 2011 4:20 pm

"Evelyn.." the shy female replied.
"Eva this is one of the pups i take care of, Warbler." Prince said, Evelyn nodded to Warbler with a gentle smile.

Warbler wagged her tail happily.
"So..You're like my sister!?" She exclaimed excitedly.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Mon Aug 29, 2011 4:41 pm

Evelyn tilted her head, not quite understanding.
"..She's closer to my age then you Wabrs..i think you misheard that.." Prince said. "I was telling Eva that you are one of the pups i take care of kiddo." Prince chuckled, smiling down at her.

Warbler huffed.
"'s not my fault my hearing sucks..." She grumbled, laying under Prince again. Dalton, hearing all the commotion, trotted out of the cave. He stared at Eva for a moment, before smiling and laying by his sister.

Prince licked the top of Warbler's head and nodded to Dalton. "And that's her brother, Dalton," he explained to Eva. Prince glanced around. "And there's one more.." he mused, looking for Duke. "My own son...wonder where he is. Duke! Come out here kiddo!"
Duke remained in the den, not wanting to come out at all.

Warbler perked when Duke was a no-show.
"I'll be right back." She woofed, pouncing over Dalton and running into the cave. "Duke! Common!...Duke?" She asked, nudging Duke's paw. "Eva's not here to replace your momma...She's Prince's friend-not-kid." Warbler explained happily sitting down beside her friend.
