"Uh..." Pavel trailed off. "You LOOK like a wolf, but that doesn't mean you are one." The small puppy smiled and wagged his fluffy tail. "You don't really smell like wolf either, Clara. Everyone thinks I'm full borzoi, but I'm actually part cocker spaniel, too."

"So where's your mom? Won't she be mad that you're still out?" Pasha looked around for Vitani. Sure he liked her daughter, but he was still unnerved by the older wolfdog.

"Ugh! Net!" Pasha stuck his tongue out and made a disgusted face. "Why in the world would you think that?"

Pasha couldn't believe that this pup never played tag in her life! "Uh, never mind," he said. "What games have you played? Maybe we can play those."

Natasha breathed harder. "Hurry Sammy!" she said, now trying to breathe. She felt as if she would choke.

Husky games? Pavel thought. I've never heard of those before.

Sammy found someone. Finally!
"Owl!" he called, causing the pitbull mix to look up.

Natasha looked at her tummy. It was swelling, and very painful. Please, Sammy, my love! Please find someone!
