"Can you bring the pups in here?"

Ruger smiled and said "Yes, .... I can." He went and did what was asked of him. He looked at Calico and said "Have a good sleep, Cal." After that, he left in search of a bigger cave for them.

"Thanks."

After an hour or two, Ruger came back and laid down near the entrance of the cave, just waiting for Calico to wake up.

((IM SO SORRY!))

Calico padded out of the cave, soon, all the pups sleeping.

Ruger looked at Calico and said lovingly "Hi, Cal. How are you?"

((It's okay. How are you doing, Tadie?))

"Good," Calico said "The pups are sleepings."

((good)

Ruger licked Calico and said "Well, that's a good thing.......I....I found a bigger den but I had to do something to get it. I had to Calico.....for our pups. I am truly sorry. Please, forgive me."

"What did you do?" Calico said.

Ruger lowered his head in defeat and said "Well, first off. I found this cave but there was already a pair of canines in it. So, I left that cave and looked around for most of the time that I was out for a bigger cave for our PUPS but not for US. I couldn't find anything except that one cave. So, I came back to that one cave and looked around for any evidence of pups. There was none and they seemed very newly mated. The female didn't look pregnant either so I went in and challenged the male for the cave and I won. He barely escaped that fight with his own life and because of that I am so ashamed of myself. You must be totally disgusted with me now, Cal. I am sorry." He lowered his head even lower.

"Ruger. Find them."

Ruger shook his head and said "What if I can't find them, Calico? Do you want me to come back if I can't find them or what? And what if they attack me when I am just trying to see if they are okay? What then? What if they kill me? What would you do? What if I am attacked by something that I seen when I started heading back to our cave?"

Calico sighed. "Then I'll go with you."

Ruger stood up and said "No! You must stay here and protect our pups. Someone must stay here with our pups at all times. I must do this alone. I WILL find them and I WILL come back." He ran off into the distance and found the canines after an hour of searching for them. He approached them and said with his head held down low "I am sorry for what I did. I wasn't thinking straight and for that I am truly sorry. ..... You see.....I have pups and a female that I MUST take care of and I will do anything to do it but I didn't really think I would truly do anything, though. So, strike me down if you want revenge for what I did. That cave is yours and it was wrong of me for taking it away from you guys by force."

((So, do you want to be both the male and female canines (wolves), or do you want to do 50/50. I take the male wolf and you take the female wolf.))

((I'll take the female.))

A small black female wolf cowered behind the male.
