I said I'd do it! It's sucky, but you not going to get any better. ( Here in the UK it's only 4 days to Halloween!) I'm being a bat-devil ( My own creation) Last year I was Aracnia queen of spiders ( My own creation!) Post on comments what you've been for Halloween.
Any way some random stuff ( MLW has read the last 2 poems in a PM) ;
Boys and girls of every age
wouldn’t you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbours gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween
I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under yours stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
everyone hail to the pumpkin song
in this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise
Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can
something's waiting now to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween
Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream, everybody scream
In our town of Halloween!
I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
filling your dreams to the brim with fright
this is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lump lings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare
that's our job, but we're not mean
in our town of Halloween
In this town
don’t we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise
Skeleton Bambi might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Halloween, everyone scream
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy
Our man Bambi is King of the Pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now!
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
everyone hail to the pumpkin song

Now it’s time for three of my age rated poems. U (anybody can read) Pg (8 – 11) 12 + (12, Durr)
Shadow cat (U)
Down comes the Halloween fog,
Blocking next door neighbours view,
Causing blind people to trip
Causing deaf people to fall.
And who is to blame for this heinous act?
Why only Shadow cat could.
Out come the children dressed in black,
Out to scare their neighbours with trick or treat.
But in a surprised turn of events,
The children make a hasty retreat,
Screaming they flee to their houses.
And who is to blame for this heinous act?
Why only Shadow cat could.
At midnight,
When the clock strikes twelve,
A shadow appears on the highway,
A ghost figure,
Yet somehow with solid glowing red eyes.
And causing chaos throughout the city,
By making small babies cry.
And who is to blame for this heinous act?
Why only Shadow cat could.
Then at 1:00,
The town goes silent,
Small children eat their candy,
Filled with remorse at the 365 days until they see
Halloween candy again!
And who is to blame for this heinous act?
Shadow cat could?
No, It’s simply Mother Nature’s course.

Raven’s (PG)
Black as night,
Black as coal,
And as black as my heart.
The 31st of October is my blackest day ever.
Watching children trick or treat,
Watching adults scream and retreat,
Isn’t it strange?
How my heart is the blackest of birds,
Yet how thou art is so gentle
If I could,
Maybe thou art would,
Tear the gentle sparrows to shreds.
But why should thou hesitate?
I hear you ask.
Because deep down,
There is a tiny glowworm of hope,
That me and my kind,
Shall be free from our invisible chains.
What?
Thou asks?
I shall tell you.
In the past we used to be …
Free to ride with the shadow of the moon
At night.
Free to eat whatever we want.
Free to fly,
Free to do what ever we wanted.
Then the master of Halloween
Came,
And chained us with these invisible chains.
Now we follow the Halloween master,
So thou art is trapped…
Somewhere out there,
We hope that the key to these chains will be found.
And we will be free to ride again.
The hope used to fill our entire hearts,
But now it’s reduced to a grain of sand,
But it still stays,
The grain of hope
Shall never disappear…

Shores of death
In the roman times,
A great author,
Commented,
About the shores of ugliness.
I am the queen of the shores of ugliness.
My name is
Śmierć. (Sme-erch)
I enjoy ripping the helpless victims apart,
And gorging out the inside.
Upon the shores of ugliness
I enjoy drinking the blood out of a scarlet pool.
I love the sight of a battle,
As my jet black tongue
Lashes across the blood stained field,
Knocking down numbers in my wake.
I watch as an enemy is skewered
On a spike.
I rip off the head and devour it in a gulp.
Upon the shores of ugliness
The corpses around me
Stare on mournfully,
Looking at me with desolate eyes
Full of forlorn.
Upon the shores of ugliness

Through the crows eyes
Cold as ice,
As black as night,
And as deadly as a viper,
War swifts through the land,
Killing its prey,
And cursing the weak.
And what should man be afraid of?
My fellow friends and I,
We sit on the battlefield before war,
Warning men not to fight,
But if men pay no attention,
Then what is the point of sparing their lives?
From the clash of spears,
To the rattle of guns,
Who can blame my terrified race,
Who flee, without a glance backwards?
We might as well be watching the world crumple before us,
And seeing our own kind die,
For what warning shall man take heed?
Of which man deserves to die?
Imagine you were I, and I were you,
What can you see
Through the crows eyes?
Sitting on the battle field
Tearing the carcasses to bits.
And man call us beasts.
But who can blame us?
After all, we are only copying
Mans own hatred for each other.

Night stalker
Blackness descends,
Wolfs howl in America,
Lions growl in Africa,
And night stalker kills in India.
In the quiet of the night,
Night stalker prowls around
On padded paws
Whilst her amber eyes glow bright.
Night stalker keeps in the shadow, afraid of being seen,
While her carefully camouflaged coat hides in mother natures arms.
A foolish deer emerges from the shadows,
Eating to its hearts content,
And night stalker makes her move.
Crouching back, those high powerful legs,
Night stalker pounces on the helpless victim.
The deer squeals, the claws lash,
And night stalker leaves no hint of her prey.
In the day time,
Hunters come and start shooting the animals,
And night stalker flees for her life.
She will never get caught,
Even though she is the hunter’s main victim.
Orange flies, and the sound of the gun booms in the distance,
While birds scatter.
All the jungle creatures shake their heads,
For that day is a loss of another animal.
Night stalker continues to pounce,
But one day she is careless,
By the time she hears the gun being loaded,
It is to late.
The bullet picks its target,
And flies deep within the orange and black leg.
Now at night, no creature hunts,
No creature eats the foolish deer,
Or flees the men at daybreak,
For on that fateful day,
Night stalker became no more.

Hidden shadows
On a quiet street,
Where no mouse creeps,
Lies the hidden shadow.
And as he stares far off into the distance,
He remembers all the good times with his former owners.
He shakes his head,
Trying to erase the memory of that day,
When he became the hidden shadow.
Now he creeps,
On small black paws,
Whilst a few passing visitors give him a glance,
(Not that there are many visitors.)
He is getting thinner by the day,
Wishing someone would take him away,
To a life full of joy and a bowl full of milk,
But would that ever happen to the hidden shadow?
Weeks past, and just as he is beginning to waste away,
A small girl comes down the ally, lost and frighted.
Hidden shadow see’s,
He goes up to the girl and nuzzles her.
The small girl curls up, crying.
Hidden shadows does not give up!
He finds the girls parents,
And they agree to keep him.
Now, Hidden shadows sits on the girls lap,
Curled up with a new name: Coal.
And her purrs contentedly as the little girl name of Emily
Rubs his old worn coat,
But as days go by, Coal’s coat becomes shining and beautiful once again.
Now, he curls up in front of the fire,
And he will do so more,
Until the end of his days.
