My Son - Bambi

 

A small poem by The Great Prince of the Forest to his son The Young Prince Bambi.

 

Bambi, my child, life you must learn,
Is hard and filled with strife.
But it blossoms wonders if you choose the right way,
An amazing thing is life.
Please listen to me, I can't give you everything,
For I am but a widower father.
You lost half your heart and soul, my child,
When you lost your dearest mother.
But stay with me, and I'll do my best to teach you all I know,
A great and wise buck I'll train you to be and into that you'll grow.

Bambi Memories

 

A poem by Prince Bambi (In this poem he is a buck) to his mother, who was shot by man.

 

I was very scared without you, Mother
Lost in a world, on my own.
Oh, how I wished you were here, dear Mother
Very close, I'd never be alone.
Even when you left me, dear Mother, I still felt you were there,
You followed me when I left my Father,
Oh, you followed me everywhere.
Under the skies, when It was night,
Mother, you watched me sleep.
Out in the meadow where you were shot,
There, dear Mother, you watched me weep.
Here I am now, a full-grown deer,
Every time I think of then,
Remembering you, I say that we're, someday going to meet again.

Let it not be that you and I will never see each other again.
Let it not be that my heart is taken far away,
