ears, and sighed. She turned and left.
Bambi lay down in the bedding again, his feelings greviously hurt and he couldn't believe what was actually happening. He thought his life was going wrong, and it would remain that way forever. He lay there miserably for about half an hour. By the end of that period of time, he heard a slight scratching sound outside the den.
"Why can't Faline just leave me alone?" mumbled Bambi to himself. "That fawn's crazy!"
Then he noticed that it wasn't Faline. It couldn't be; the sound couldn't have been made by Faline's hooves. It was from an adult deer.
The Great Prince. His father. Bambi looked over his shoulder and saw his father peering into the den. "Bambi," called his father.
"What's going on, dad?" asked Bambi, getting up. "Do you have the next report about Amber's status?"
The Great Prince didn't seem happy. "Y...yes," he said.
"W...what is it? Is she okay?" asked Bambi nervously.
The Great Prince sighed.
"No."
