                                                                 Bambi and Friends

It was a cold, bitter late February day; it didn’t feel like February at all. It felt more like an arctic day in January. It was snowing in the forest, pounding the area with a luxurious feeling blanket of white wonder .It was also very windy. That made the forest probably the coldest place ever imagined. Bambi had just fainted from being out in the cold too much. His puffy winter coat couldn’t even keep the young prince perfectly fine. The fawns rushed towards Bambi.

“What is wrong with Bambi?” Pine asked

“I think Bambi is just unconscious. That’s all. Bambi would just need some healing and warmth.” Replied Sara

“Let’s get Bambi to a warm place, but there probably isn’t anyone near here.” Thumper suggested

The fawns tried to carry bambi to the less snowy place they can and were not that successful at finding one. They needed help and fast before nature will take its course on Bambi. They searched for a non-snowy place for a few hours but didn’t find one. Suddenly the animals bumped into a clay colored doe fawn. She seemed to survive the winter quite smoothly.

“Hello my name is Aspen and looks like you have quite a problem with that fawn.” The fawn said

“This is the young prince, Aspen. If we don’t warm him soon you know what would happen.” Athena bleated

Suddenly, Bambi awoke and didn’t know what was going on. He was confused and looked at the new face of the doe fawn.

“What is going on guys and who is that new girl?” Bambi wondered

“Hello young prince, Aspen is my name.” said the tan-orange colored fawn

“I think Bambi likes her. “Whispered Athena to Sara as they saw Bambi blushing at her

“Fawna, what do you think.” Sara questioned

“Nope I think Aspen is crushing on him. Bambi knows his crushing on her and he is shy to girls. How do I know that? He was shy to Faline and me.” Fawna explained

Meanwhile, Moss and Pine ran in the snow and explored. It was all bare. No leaves were on the trees with the exception of the pine. In all of the holes in the ground there were hibernating animals. More and more luxurious snow fell to the ground. Some animals had to fight for food and deer had to strip bark off of the trees in order to stay alive. Not a single patch of green to be seen. The two bucks ran to this strange place they didn’t know. It seemed to be more lifeless than any other place they have seen. Then they soon saw an ugly dirt colored buck with at least twelve points on his antlers. He had scars all over him and seemed to be mean to the other deer. Moss and Pine knew who he was. He was Scratch.

                                                          Scratch’s Herd

Scratch was doing what he normally did after he murdered the Great Prince, enslaving deer to be his servants and forcing does to mate with him. If the does decline the offer, he will punish them or sentence them possibly to death but he at least needs two or more does in the herd to have fawns.

“Fawn, mate with me. I know I am an ugly buck who murdered your mate.” Said scratch as he quickly shut his mouth

“What did you say? Oh and about the mating, we are typically mates.” Growled Bambi’s mother

“Well I practically killed your mate because I want to be the Great Prince of the Forest. I was his best friend.” Scratch said

“Scratch, I think you need to get away from here. You killed my mate and I do not know what happened to Bambi.” Sighed mother in a stern tone

“I will figure this out later. For now, stay here. I will be right back.” The ugly buck said

Mother didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if she should stay and be enslaved by the ugly, smelly, dark brown deer or run away and get possibly sentenced to death. She knew Scratch took mating seriously but it wasn’t even the rut. The rut was far away from now and Bambi’s mother thought and thought. Suddenly she had an answer.

Faline, Ronno, and Sedna

The peaceful Faline looked up and saw the unusual creature. She had a light tan fur pelt and an unusual nose. Her face and body made her stand out like a sore thumb. Then Faline looked at her again and started laughing at her. Faline thought she was mute and didn’t talk. Suddenly, the animal began to speak.

“Excuse me, where is my caribou herd?” said the young caribou

“I possibly don’t know I am not one of you. Besides I think you should just get out of here and never come back.” Faline growled

“Faline, what are you doing to this poor little calf. Don’t you see she’s lost?” Ronno said

“I was doing nothing Ronno. I was just messing around with her.” Replied Faline as she pushed the caribou

“Help me!” She cried

The caribou, whose name was unknown, fell into a big river and unlike other caribou, she couldn’t swim. Faline was laughing and she was making Ronno laugh with her. Sedna could feel the pain in her back legs and she could move them. Sedna was drowning and needed help fast.

Before too long, a doe fawn swam into the freezing water and swam to Sedna. The fawn that had a clay pelt and seemed to be strong rescued Sedna and pushed her onto land.

“Thank you, whoever you are.” Bleated Sedna as she was coughing up water

“Don’t mention it.” Said the clay fawn with a smile

The two fawns started walking somewhere, somewhere that had warmth as they hoped so. Spring was on the way soon and spring which was the season to sing.

                                                      Athena and Ronno

Ronno soon had to go after the Sedna incident. As he was walking with his mother, he noticed that the snowing had stopped leaving a thick white blanket behind it. Faline on the other hand was strongly punished by her mother and to never go out on the meadow again without her mother.

Ronno’s mother took him far away to another meadow. However this one seemed to be almost lifeless. There was almost no grass. All of the area was covered in snow and dead grass that didn’t fill up the yearling’s stomach.

“Mother, why isn’t there any life up here?” Ronno whispered to his mother

“Before he died, The Great Prince of the Forest did not like any of the deer in that particular herd. He moved them to a place, a lifeless place to get revenge on them.”

“Get revenge on what.” Said the dark brown yearling curiously

“Umm something that they did to his best friend.” Replied his mother

Soon after the long story, Ronno ran down to the meadow to frolic around. There were no birds chirping and no deer hoof prints.  Soon, he began to get a little scared.

“I’m officially scared.” She said quietly to himself

“Scared of what?” echoed a voice he had never heard in his life

It was a doe fawn. She had a light grey winter fur coat. It seemed that she was serious because of her bright blue eyes that scared everyone. Ronno had no choice but to fight her.

“Name’s Athena, I’m a fawn who acts real badly with buck fawns.” The fawn growled

“Run!” Ronno thought

Athena charged up at him looking as brave as ever. Ronno also charged up. The fighting had begun. Athena was winning the fight because of her strong front hooves. Ronno soon strengthened and ripped her skin off of her fur. It left a bloody mark near her eye. Ronno soon ripped the skin off her ear. It left a notch there. Now the doe fawn ran away fast as she could. That meant Ronno had

It's pretty darn good. You might wanna watch to make sure you get all the punctuation in, but other than that and a few other moments, it's pretty great! I loved the vocabulary use - particularly grotesque. Now, the moment with Ronno and Faline taunting Sedna, though - there's something there. When Ronno first said something, I had trouble telling whether he was being genuine or goading Faline on. You'll certainly want to make note in the story next time when someone's using sarcasm or taunting. But all in all, really good! ^^ Now, I'm going to render on Aspen since I have an idea of what she's like.
