Fawn stepped out of the den. After the groundhog day, it had been winter for an extra 6 weeks. Now it was coming to an end and spring had finally arrived. Bambi had grow his first set of antlers and the forest was quiet and peaceful.  Spiders webs hung delicately in the morning light, dew hung from them. A fresh spring breeze whistled through the trees whipping up a small cloud of snow around Fawns feet. As she looked through the tree's Fawn remembered her ancient war poem, told to her by her father. 

Antlers and Hoofs will 

Stop my moves

But words will stick like glue. 

He who dares steal she

Shall have to go through me!

" Run him through"  Fawn recited the last line of her fathers poem.  She sighed. When she was a Fawn, he father used to tell her that when he fought for her mother he recited that poem. Fawn used to hope that whoever fought for her would recite that poem. But growing up, Fawn got some more common sense. Still she never expected who would have fought for her ... Matfuso, once a cowardly scared prince. Fawn hoped Bambi wouldn't be like that. But she loved Matfuso now, and enjoyed his company even now. Slowly she heard a small muffled sound from behind, and saw Bambi stirring. 

" Good morning young prince " She smiled. Bambi blinked, half awake. 

" Morning mom" He yawned, and shook himself awake. Smiling sleepily Bambi observed his mother as she hunted around for food. Eventually, she found some, offering the large part to her son, and taking the smaller part herself.  Fawn looked at her son. 

" Bambi do you want me to tell you an ancient war poem?" She asked. 

" Ok !" ambi smiled looking fascinated. So Fawn recited the poem to Bambi. At the end she asked. 

" When i was young I wanted my Stag to yell that for me" She confessed.

" Did dad?" Bambi asked.

" No but still it was nice to dream, it was to old for him to have know it " Fawn admitted. " But when your young you never think about things like that. " Bambi laughed, he knew this was true. 

Later that day, Bambi decided to find Faline again, He had become less nervous of Faline. In fact he rather enjoyed her company. Bambi found Faline near thebomb hole made by man that went quite deep. Faline appeared to be interested in something. Curious, Bambi wandered over. 

" Hey Bambi " Faline called. 

" What's going on down there?" Bambi asked, looking down the bomb hole dip. A wide circle of Bucks and does were gathered, watching two other fawns fighting. One was dark Brown, with Green eyes and tall antlers. Another was a lighter brown, nearly yellow, with streaks of black in his red head and tail. This fawn had gray eyes, which was kind of strange. Thumper, was cheering the other buck on. Bambi noticed Flower hiding behind a mound of soil, and ducking when ever the two bucks crashed. Another Buck, the one standing next to Thumper was even stranger. He was Grayish all over, and he had a reddish-orange head and tail colour. He had a yellow patch on his head, and a dark brown star on his forehead. He was covered all over in strange patches, then he had cream coloured socks. His eye rings were different colours, one cream one orange and so was his lip, the top half was orange and the bottom half was Cream. Bambi also noticed that this buck had a chunk missing from one of his antlers and one of his ears were a different colour to the other. The bucks eyes were sea blue. The strange buck was cheering on the brown buck. 

" Who's that?" Bambi asked Faline. 

" Who that?" Faline asked looking at the strange buck. 

" His names Kral, they say his friends with Ronno" Bambi was confused until he membered. 

" The buck who crashed into the groundhog? " He inquired. 

" Precisely" Faline nodded. " I don't think Ronno's a laughing matter now " She noted, pointing towards the fight. Ronno had just lept at the buck, and tried to rip his ear, ronno missed, and before the other buck could turn, he rammed into the bucks side. The other does and fawns gasped. The buck cried out in pain, blood running genitally down his side. The flow was defiantly slow, It could easily self heal, If the buck left it alone, but it still shocked everyone.  Ronno shook his head, looking surprised, He had not meant to be that hard. But Ronno tried to cover it up. 

" And don't try to mess with me again " He said, looking at the buck who was writhing on the floor. Ronno walked over to Kral. Who alo was trying to cover up his shock. Bambi gasped, on instinct, he lept down into the bomb hole. and walked over to the buck. 

" Are you ok?" He asked. 

" Ronno hurt me, I think he did it on purpose " The buck glared at Ronno. 

" That seems to much even for Ronno " Thumper commented, Flower following his tracks. 

" I haven't seen this side of Ronno" Bambi said " What happened to make him this bad?" Bambi asked. 

" We think it has something to do with his father " Faline assumed. At that moment, Bambi noticed Ronno had a chuck of his ear missing. Bambi was curious, but worried that if he asked Ronno, He also would battle like that. Bambi shuddered at the thought. Just then, Ronno walked off, and Kral came over looking relived. He looked at the buck he glared at him. 

" Sorry about my friend, he sometimes gets a little over exited" Kral shook his head, and looked at Bambi. Who nodded, aware that Kral could take him out, even with a chunk of antler missing. 

" I'm Kral by the way " He said, looking proud. 

" We know " Bambi had to proceed with caution. Kral looked disappointed. After a moment of awkward silence he suddenly said 

" Got to go Bambi and guys see you " And Ran in Ronno' s direction. Bambi asked the injured buck what his name was. 

" Nocere" The buck told him. " It means hurt... and hurt I am" He said looking at the slowly healing wound. 

" It'll heal, I'm sure " Ronno smirked coming leaping back down into the bomb hole. 

" Get lost creep" Nocere threatened, " Haven't you done enough damage?" He asked. 

" I don't know what your talking about" Ronno lied. Bambi decided to stand up for his new friend. 

" Go away!" He yelled threateningly. 

" Oh, and are you going to make me princey?" Ronno asked, he decided Bambi wasn't worth the effort. 

" Yes " Bambi shouted into the astonished crowd. Bambi even astonished him self. Ronno was taken aback to. 

" Ok, let's rumble" He roared, as the crowed backed off. 

" Go show him Bambi!" Thumper and Flower called. 

" Good luck!"  Nocere and Faline whispered, for they were worrid about there friend. 

As Bambi and Ronno turned to charge, Bambi herd the ancient spirits words coming out of his own mouth. 

" Antlers and Hoof will

Stop my moves

But words will stick like glue. " Then the second verse fitted more so Bambi and the spirits said again ; 

" He who dares  to oppose me" 

Well I shall run him through!" Bambi called to every one who could hear. Ronno nearly back off, surprised by this, but he shook off the anxiety. 

" 3 ... 2 ... 1 GOOOO!" Nocere yelled. Ronno and Bambi charged.
