Why can't you just D I E?
Nope, this has nothing to do with the story, really.
This is my using Corvin to express my own frustrations I'm currently struggling with - a doe in my barn is wasting away in front of me. She's eating well, and I'm giving her all the food and water she'll eat, but her condition is just terrible - she is severely emaciated and really doesn't even look like she should be alive. All I can do is put salve on her feet and try some penicillin, and really, just wish she'd either get better or just hurry up and die already.
It might sound cruel, but her condition has deteriorated to the point that I don't think she can get much worse. From here, if she dies, she's better off. If she get better, good.
But I can't do much for her. Corvin and I are both upset and frustrated...

We're trying the penicillin and continuing with the foot salve... she
can't barely stand on them. If this doesn't help(It should at least
help her feet -- I know at least one has infection), then she'll be
put down. From an economic stand-point, though we have a doe to
replace her plus another, she's a loss - the only two we would have
any desire to keep are bucks, not does, making them less useful. |

Good to hear Corvin's suffering with you...A sorrow shared is a sorrow
halved. ^^ But seriously, I'm sorry to hear about your rabbit...and I must say when you get down to it, what you say isn't cruel. That could come from my "I wanna be a vet" point of view, but if an animal has little chance to ever get better, seeing it die always seemed better to me than seeing it stay alive and suffer. I hope your doe soon gets out of that condition...whatever way it goes. |
