If Bambi and all the other deer in the forest are White Tails, Why is a male deer called a stag? Could'nt it just be buck or doe? I'm a real big fan of White Tailed Deer hunting and I know you might hate for it, but in all the years I've gone hunting its never been called a stag.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deer Look in the section "terminology". In short, the terms are interchangeable. There is no hard, fast rule.

Well,it all depends on the person that hunts White tails, some call it a stag, while others call it a buck, only female deer are referred to as does, and yes, there are some people who dislike deer hunting. Hope this helps you. -Celtic Kate
