Oh rly rly?

Anyway, I don't see a single "mean" comment in this entire discussion.
Get over yourselves and learn to accept criticism. Each of these
people were courteous in their replies. YOU were far less. In fact
you, BxR, sound rather sarcastic.

See this web site? It's an open forum. People can comment on
anything they wish. And as long as they are not flaming, they have
broken no rules. Don't like that? Don't post it. It's that simple.
You post something in an open community, you have to take the good
with the bad. Or, in a different way, the critical with the
supportive. If you can't deal with that, then you have no business
posting material in the first place.
Oh, and BxR's sister? You chastize people not only without "noing"
their age, but then without even being able to spell correctly? XD
This is RxB's sister here.... Please, and im saying this in the nicest
way i can........ If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at
all as it is mean, and pathetic. You are all 11, 12, or 13 year olds
maybe more you should no better. Anyway even if you didn't like it
just say its good anyway. You don't need to break the girls heart by
giving her mean comments do you
I will agree with Dragon Tamer and his well-stated clarification. My
intent is not to browbeat or flame bait. Nor, believe it or not, is
it to pass judgement on alternative sexualities, even though that is
probably how it will be judged.
But I don't like seeing material that is clearly meant as one thing
ending up "fan shipped" into something which it is definitely not.
Fan shippers tend to hold to the belief that they can do anything they
want with great classic material, and anyone who stumbles upon it
should just "deal with it" or "get over it and move on". To me, that
is the basest, most selfish and conceited bunch of hooey that anyone
can ever lay onto those who love the movies for what they are.
Especially the classics...like Bambi. And I can't just let it pass by
when I see such things happen. I just can't.
We MUST learn to move past this contradictory age of "anything
goes"/political correctness/"you don't know me", and learn to respect
the works of great authors, and great motion picture companies, and
leave our personal preferences -- which may paint these great works in
another (and maybe darker) light -- personal...and private.
However, I maintain that none of my comments were meant as personal
attacks or browbeating.
feathervenom --> I agree on the flame-baiting part.
BXR --> Just so I can be clear, speaking strictly for myself, I'm not
trying to browbeat you or anything like that. Out of sympathy for
your ADD (I have ADHD myself) I'll try to be gentle about this: your
pictures, in and of themselves, are fine. But the underlying theme
you've attached to them, on a site full of loyal fans, is apt to draw
fire. And given that it's a site bound to draw kids and parents, I'd
like to see some different material. I already lost contact with
several friends whose parents made them leave Animation Source when
they learned this sort of thing was on here.
I'm personally only here because I check for new comments whenever I
get on... but, I'll just add that alternative sexualities are very,
very controvercial(spelling?), it's like religion or politics, or
mentioning the Phillip CD-i games on a nintendo fan-site; complete
kindling for a flame war. I have nothing against anyone here
personally - BXR has been of great support to me, I'm just worried
that it could cause a flame war is all.
"Understandable, but my audience isn't really for kids under ten, not
like i think they would care, as they won't understand. Why would they
be looking at this stuff anyway? But I can see your point, and i'm
only eleven"

Hate to break it to you, but you're still a kid, (and not to mention
11 comes after 10, so there is hardly a difference in age and
maturity) and too young to be drawing this sort of thing. You should
at least be 13 years of age or older in my opinion. No one here can
stop you from drawing these kinds of things, but I think it would be
better if you took down your content and put it on some other site
like Deviantart.
Either way, it's beside the point -- these characters (CERTAINLY the
official ones) and the stories they appear in (whether the original
literary story or the sanitized Disney version and its "donut hole"
sequel) were all about the innocence of childhood, from the
perspective of woodland animals. And the trials and tribulations of
their lives. And, when they came of age, seeking romance in the usual
fashion. They were not at all about alternative sexualities, whether
stated or implied.
Whenever anything about the Bambi movies and their characters, most
especially, appear online, they are GOING to draw parents and their
young children. That's a given. Regardless of the resident fan base
here (no matter their preferences and proclivities). And those
visitors definitely do not need to be seeing that sort of stuff.
