History:

Birth Place: Zima was born in the winter within the week before Christmas (exact date is unknown).

Childhood: From the age of two weeks she had already made two friends, Lyra and Anna. At a very early age Zima enjoyed the company of animals which were not her species, mice, birds, beavers, etc.  Though her bones were frail, Zima was a very active little fawn who was admired by many in the herd.

Throughout her childhood she made many friends both in and out of the Silver Herd; Miss Bunny and Bluebell from Bambi's Forest for example. She was also curious about the predators in the forest and liked to survay the wolves and bears from a distance. But this led to one time when she actually came upon a she-bear, whom had cubs, and who attempted to attack the fawn. Zima belted the very few bear noises she had learnt and somehow managed to talk to the grizzly in broken bear speech. After some time the two became friends and would help each other when needed.

Relation to Bambi: Zima's father's herd is resides near Bambi's forest and the two are strong allies. Zima is close friends with all Bambi's forest creatures, particulary Miss Bunny and Bluebell.
