Personality: Noir is a special case when it comes to personality. She can be a very nice doe, an attentive listener and a great friend if you are in her good books. She would do anything it takes to make you smile and loves jerking around with you.
But only if you have her trust. And that’s not an easy task.
In her fawnhood, she has been a spoiled brat, getting food delivered for her and being treated like a spoiled brat by man. She doesn’t fear him because she lived with man until she was in her late teens and got to know them fairly well.
But when she was released, she soon learned that the world isn’t all friendly, that she has to find food for herself and that her unusual coat isn’t really a blessing when it comes to other deer, especially does.
She became more sensitive and suspicious about others and didn’t like big gatherings of deer, she rather avoids them and keeps in the corners.
She begins trusting other’s a little more when she meets and befriends Kaiser.
She isn’t that sociable, though, but enjoys talking to other’s as long as they don’t say anything about her odd appearance.
Likes: being complimented, being cared for, having someone she can trust, night (as one can hardly see her), rainy days, being around friends, when someone likes her, thinking about happy memories, Kaiser, warmth, flowers
Dislikes: being judged by her color, being melanistic, winter, crowds, most does, that man released her, being picked on, what Trar and his herd did
History: Noir was born on a deer farm among other fallow deer. She could easily be spotted because of her dark coat. And so did a rich man one day when he was on the deer farm with his daughter. And of course, the little girl wanted to have that cute little black fawn when she spotted her in one of the pens.
She pleaded with her father to buy that fawn, and he gave in. It’s unknown how much he paid the owner of the deer farm, but it had to be quite a lot for such an exotically colored and beautiful fawn. But eventually, the owner of the little fawn changed and when she didn’t need milk anymore, she was brought to the man’s house.
She lived in his huge garden, unspotted by anyone because the villa was in the outskirts of the town where they lived. A shed full of straw was her shelter and she could enter and leave it as it pleased her.
She led a very pleasant life. She had hey and grass and anything she could wish for to eat, she didn’t need to fear being killed at all and the family was kind to her, even their dogs, whom scared her at first until she got to know them.
The little girl spendt much time with her and called her “noir”, the French word for black her grandmother had thaught her. The little doe took this as her name, not knowing what it meant, but liking it.
She got to know man fairly well and liked her life.
She never could really understand why suddenly, she had to go away. But the rich man who had bought her could have explained it.
One time, while her parents were busy, the little girl sneaked of with the collar and the leash with for the dogs to take a walk with the fawn. She left the garden through a gate in the fence and although Noir didn’t like it at first, but she got used to it and she trusted her human friend.
Well, on their walk, some couple saw them and decided to follow, because a little girl, about nine years, taking a black deer for a walk isn’t really something you see every day. And so, they found out about the illegal pet and told the animal control.
When they knocked on the door one day, the man was quick to make the dogs chase Noir, who was in her late teens by then, out of the garden. She later returned, but was chased off again.
Noir didn’t understand. The little girl was crying, and the dogs, her friends, suddenly barked at her and bared their teeth. One of them eventually said that she couldn’t live with them anymore, it just wasn’t possible. And she should keep away from man at all costs.
When she was shot at with blanks, she was so shocked that she ran away. She didn’t know why, but that sound was bad.
So, she fled into a forest and started wandering around. She was completely lost and had no idea what to do. Now, she had food, but what was she supposed to do in winter? She wasn’t used to live out in the wild, she didn’t know the dangers, what she could eat and what not.
And there were the other deer. The other DOES, to be specific.
They harassed her because of her color, because she was so helpless. Noir was on the verge of tears more than once.
But some old doe was good-hearted enough to help her through her first weeks. But she was shot one day, and that was the moment Noir realized man wasn’t all nice.
She kept wandering around, now prepared better for what she was facing. But she kept staying on her own, avoiding herds, until she eventually reached Bambi’s forest.
There, the other young deer picked on her as well, but one young buck helped her. He was the twin of a buck named Skander and son of a doe named Faline. His name was Kaiser.
This herd wasn’t better than any other place, but it wasn’t worse, either. And here were less hunters, her biggest fear. So, she asked Prince Bambi if she could stay and he allowed it.
She eventually had a crush on Kaiser, and he returned her feelings, it seemed.
The next year, they had a pair of twins they named Soleil and Mercutio.
RTB: is friends with Faline’s son, lives in Bambi’s herd (in Untaken Path)

I gave Noir's body shot a little workover. I think aside from the hind
leg, it looks better that way. ^^ |
