This didn't turn out as well as I had hoped...
Anyways it's a quote from Mad Max: Fury Road, which is a great movie, btw. This statement seems to be the theme of the movie, and got me thinking about the Balto fandom. Your female wolf/dog characters as not things that need a mate. They can kick butt as well!

I think it's pretty disappointing when people do that. Not only does it devalue the female characters, but when you get down to brass tacks it also devalues romance itself. Let's face it: disrespect for either gender by either gender really doesn't do anyone any favors.

I have to agree with the whole mate thing. To be honest, I think the main reason people like to do this is so they can design puppies and adopt out puppies.
