Doubts::.

Kodi wandered through town and ran to the lake Balto had taken him to when he was a pup. He laid down and worried his heart out.

Serene was carrying his pups. Would he be a good father?

Kodi's mate silently slipped past a few trees and stepped next to him. 'Kodi, what's wrong?'

' I ... I just don't know if I'll make a good dad .. '

She chuckled. Kodi glared up at her, but only because he was sensitive.

Serene laughed at Kodi's sensitivity. 'Ease up, hun. You'll be a wonderful dad.'

Kodi stared at himself in the reflection of the lake. Serene looked down, too. Kodi frowned, seeing his face. 'You think some will look like me?'

Serene chuckled. 'No. They'll look like me, because I bet /I/ have the dominant genes!'

Kodi glared up at her playfully.
