Kaltag: I made him look more like what I think his breed is: the chinook.
Nikki: I made him look more like what I think his breed is; the chow chow.
Star: I made him look more like what I think his breed is, the malamute.
I know they are not sparkles!

So how is that our problem?

They were closed as "No action taken" by Moss without even a message as to why.

Not art fairies. You should be doing your modding JOB.
The rules have stated for years - "Do not render an official character into itself, like rendering Balto into Balto."
If you cannot do your jobs without picking at everything JC or Mighty says, please let another impartial mod deal with it.

I am not picking on Charlotte. Just pointing out a fact as I see it. If you expect people to comply, you have to be CONSISTENT. Otherwise it doesn't mean diddly. And hey -- those site rules? Yeah, really ought to be followed.
Or is that too "negative"?
Truly, the only thing a bit off, is Star's ears. Everything is colored in correctly, there are no little white dots surrounding the lines.
I just took a peek and the render in the rules example. They are nothing alike. If I saw an image like THAT I would deactivate it.

Yeah, everyone starts somewhere, and some do begin by rendering characters into themselves before rendering their own characters.

Also this person is a start for trouble... They think everything on BS is a sparkledog so they harass anyone who thinks BS isn't a sparkledog, especially characters. This image is them trying to 'improve' the characters because they think everything is a sparkle.
tewolf
Not that that's the main issue people were even on about.
Everyone understands you've got to start somewhere. It was the fact they rendered the characters into themselves. That has always been a no-no because it was used to get around the Official Character to Fan Character ratio.

Go on the Images page.
Click "Send".
Look at the second one down under "Not Allowed".
See it says "Bad renders".
It might just be me, but it looks like it says no bad renders.
She is new at this! I know I was terrible, but I was lucky enough to have Zuko tutor me through paint, the Photoshop. So she needs the same, she needs tutorials.
Her images are not pointless, they have a point, and that may be practice. That's a good enough point.
Charlotte: Try having a look at some of the Pixlr tutorials, Aleu15 has one, so you could have a try at that. See what's right for you.
If you want, I can try to make a tutorial on rendering using pixlr. It looks like a combination of Paint and GIMP so for me, I should get the hang of that program pretty easily.
Wolf
To those of you who gave the Paint or GIMP tutorial, you have my thanks.
As to the rest of you, well, I'll reserve judgment, but I will NOT deactivate this because you have forgotten when you started rendering.
All negative comments stop now.

Some of the members of this source have made several tutorials like this one , which are easy and look pretty cleany , here you've got an example , by wicked innocence ( for if the problem is that you would like to render and you don't know how ) :
http://www.animationsource.org [...] ed-s-way-to-render-t27914.html
I hope this helps you to improve your renders , then about the colors you've given to the trio , I'm fine with them , each one of us surely would have designed some characters on our own different to the movie , so I don't see anything wrong with it

Also, I think Star's breed might be an Alaskan klee kai, and, just my opinion, I think Nikki's color should be just a little darker.
