Sammy sat in waiting in front of the vet's office, night had fallen and it had began to snow a little, then he spotted his father walking out of the vet's, and stood up.
- Dad, how is Elliot? Is he gonna be okay? asked Sammy with a worried tone.
- Yes, he's going to be fine. He's resting now, you can go see him in the morning, Elias said, Sammy nodded and lowered his head, and then Eli cleared his throat.
- Now then, Samuel, he began with a raised brow, assuming his strict "dad tone", and sat down, and Sammy sighed; every time his parents called him by his real name, he knew he was in trouble.
- I believe we outta have a serious talk, Elias said with a raised brow.
- I knew this was coming, Sammy mumbled, and sat down with a sigh, raising his head to face his father.
- Look, dad, before you even start, I just want to say, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen, he said, with a sad and regretful voice.
- I know that, son, and no one is blaming you, not even your brother. But I need you to understand how serious this is. You and Elliot could both have been killed, Elias spoke with a strict but calm tone, and with raised brows.
- I know, Sammy said quietly, lowering his head.
- You can't go on acting so reckless. Your mother and I have to constantly worry about you, and today was just too close a call. We couldn't bare it if anything happened to you boys, that's why you have to learn to behave. Do you understand?
Sammy nodded slowly.
- Yes, dad, he responded quietly, and now, Elias started smiling.
- Alright, go and get some sleep now. It's been a rough day, he said, and Sammy raised his head and stood up to his feet.
- Good night dad.
- Good night, son.
And with that, Sammy started heading back home, with Eli watching him go and sighing quietly.
