I Couldn't Let You Go
(A scene from Atka and Kiuna's story, and the first image of them together, yay. Lol.)
Nuk and Yak had pulled Atka out of the freezing water just in the neck of time, they landed him on the ice bridge and the young wolf started couching water from his lungs.
- Atka! Kiuna called with a worried tone and rushed over to the wet and exhausted male.
- What were you thinking?!
- I... I couldn't let you go, he panted, looking at her with tired eyes, his whole body shivering from the cold.
- Are you out of your mind? You could have drowned! Kiuna exclaimed with raised eyebrows, and Atka gave her a tired smile.
- Well, you know what they say... Love makes you do crazy things, he whispered with a weak voice, then his eyes closed, and his head dropped down between his paws. Kiuna gasped quietly, and felt a warm dash inside, also her eyes began to water.
- Oh, Atka... she whispered with a trembling voice, and gently nudged his cheek, closing her eyes...
