Boris sees Saba depressed and with concern, asks him why he's upset.
(Saba get's bullied on from other pups his age and they won't include him in play time because he's part wolf)

While the render itself is very good, if you want to make the character look closer to the Balto puppies and less like a character from a different movie, try just copying and pasting the head of one of the Balto pups and put it on your render to trace over. That way, all you need to render the proper size are the ears.
There are lots of examples of render-artists (myself included) taking and borrowing individual body parts, like noses or heads or tails, and using them to make the character they're rendering not look like just another Balto clone.
As for Saba's gender, while it is USUALLY just represented as a girl, I've seen versions of it as a boy as well, tho not nearly as frequent as the "blue-eyed Jenna clone". The pup does have a more gruff-sounding voice, but then again Dingo has a very girly voice.
Neither pup's gender is stated in the movie, we just typically associate "o" with male and "a" with female. While the name "Saba" is a girl's name of Greek origin, it /can/ be used as a boy's name in Arabic.

My male version of Saba was rendered off from Angel (from Lady and the Tramp II Samp's adventure) which kinda explains the big ears haha ^^'
Thanks for the compliment by the way! However can you give me some advice to make rendering Saba easier?

Though your drawing of Saba is VERY good, the ears are just a tad large for the head...and the markings are a bit off if this is the canon Saba...
Saba (the canon one) is generally considered to be a female...
