Jordan awoke the next morning leaning against her mate. She yawned, stretched herself and stood up. She nudged Koko to wake him up but he was cold. He didn´t made it. His injuries and the lost of blood where too much for his body. Jordan´s heart was racing, her view blurred, tears floated her eyes. She couldn´t believe it. Koko died. Her mate, her only love, her everything died. "No!" She whispered, went down and dug her face into his fur. "No, please... please don´t leave me. I... I need you. I´m lost... I´m nothing without you. I... I love you." She snobbed. "I love you, too" A very familiar voice reached her ears. Jordan lifted her head. Koko´s body was still motionless, cold, without any sign of life. "What... who... where...?" Jordan looked around but there was nobody in the den. Leafs where rustling so she went outside. Nobody was there, too. She looked above and saw her beloved Koko in the clouds. "Koko, why did you leave me?" Koko´s spirit went down from the sky and stopped in front of her. "I´m sorry, darling, but... my time has come. I needed to go. I´m so sorry that I couldn´t spend more time with you, my dear." He paused. "Please do me a favor. Be strong and raise our pups. I know it´ll be hard to do it alone but I also know you´re able to do it. I wish to be there to watch them grow but my fate wanted to take me away from you that soon. Stay strong, my love." He spoke to her. Jordan sighted "I will." she finally said, crying. He lifted her chin with his paw. "Thanks... and remember, I´m always there, even if you can´t see me." He nuzzled his mate one last time and began to vanish into a little cloud flying back into the sky. "Koko, please... don´t leave me... please stay... I... please stay here... with me... don´t leave me..." She ran after this cloud but soon it completly vanished into the sky. Jordan collapsed to the ground, crying.
