Balto's Pups - B1 Style
I've been wondering for a while what Balto and Jenna's pups would look like had they been designed by the animators of the first movie.
At first, I wanted to give them all unique markings, but upon looking at the background dogs from the first movie, I noticed the animators kind of repeated the same markings with them, probably because they weren't important characters. However, there were a lot of different color schemes seen in the dogs -- they came in varying shades of gray and brown.
So, what I did was I made the color schemes of the pups more diverse, and although I didn't do anything super radical with their markings, I still made sure to make each pup have a different facial marking so they could be unique. I also noticed the first movie's animators liked to give the dogs "eyepatches," so I had many of the pups carry Balto's genes for eyepatches.
and if anyone's wondering, Kodi is the one farthest to the right
