The War, Part One, The Dream
Rusky tossed and turned in the snow. He couldn?t get to sleep. All that noise woke Togo up. ?What are you doing Rusky?? He said sleepily ?it?s super late!?
?I can?t get to sleep.? He said. ?Well? Togo said ?think about?..?Sleep.?
Rusky settled in, and soon he feel asleep.
He dreamed that he was standing on the beach, looking out over the ocean. It was completely calm, not a wave in sight. It stayed that way awhile. Then he saw a wave crash. A few seconds later another wave crashed from the opposite direction. They crept crashing from both directions, smashing into each other. They got bigger and bigger every time, until they were giant tsunamis crashing into each other. Then a seagull flew up over the tsunamis. The it cawed. But it didn?t sound like a seagull. Then Rusky realized that it was half seagull, and half crow. Then the seagull-crow dived into the water, right in between the tsunamis. Then, a moment later, the tsunamis blasted apart, and the sea was calm again.

That’s ok. And it’s supposed to be a mystery, and will probably be
explained in the fourth or fifth part, but maybe later. Sorry I should’ve explained it more in the story.  |
