Seeing Double

Seeing Double

''Hey, ah, dad! Didn't expect to see you out here!'' Vincent was a bit taken aback as his son, Caesar greeted him. His son trotted up and gave a wry expression, that by now Vincent knew was his son's happy expression however that same expression sent back many memories of his own father. Some were welcome, some others.

Before Vincent could respond to his son, a stark realization hit him. While he'd always noted that Caesar shared expressions with his father, he hadn't noted that the two also carried themselves similarly, the similarity in their builds, and even their markings. Vincent had to take a few steps back, and furrow his brow.

''Why are you looking at me like that?'' Caesar asked, his voice still light. Vincent gave a small smile.

''Son, do me a favor and never break your leg.'' Vincent said, with a small smirk.

''Are you okay dad?'' Caesar asked, looking very confused and slightly concerned.

''Promise me,'' Vincent insisted, the smirk growing. He watched as his son rolled his eyes, then shook his head and smiled once more.

''Sure dad, promise.'' Caesar replied. ''Now, you promise not to break yours, you old fuddy-duddy.''

Okay, so I'm not going to give much away (because I'm making more Vincent and Chase images that also shed light on this) but Caesar is Vincent's favorite BECAUSE he reminds Vincent of Chase. Or rather, what Vincent could almost see in Chase.

And as a sidenote, I had real issues making Vincent. His face wasn't turning out right, despite the fact I was doing everything I've always done.

Then I realized he had a normal - not angry / grumpy / confused / irked - expression.

OK, that makes a little more sense.

DT - It is a reference to past images I've made. Vincent often tells Chase to "break a leg". He feels differently about his son.

Herobrine - Aw jeez! Thank you so much, it means a lot!
