''Chase, where do you think you're going?'' Penny asked exasperatedly. She'd followed the wayward husky after he suddenly took off from an off season training session. At the sound of the question, Chase slowly turned to face her with a slight grimace.
''Do me a favor Penny and take the day off.'' Chase replied, his voice just as abrasive as ever. Penny let out a low growl and sat down.
''I don't understand why everyone else thinks you're so great. Half the time you don't even listen, and when you do you still don't. You're always going off on your own harebrained missions, and you drag all of us down with you. One of these days it is going to back fire on you.'' Penny retorted as she furrowed her brow. ''Anyone could lead this team better. Even I could definitely do a better job than you. I'm just as capable as you are, probably moreso seeing that I actually listen. ''
''While that is all very interesting, I don't have the time to get into such a deep and insightful conversation. However maybe you should talk to Archie about how great of a listener you are, Penelope.'' Chase said slyly, rolling his eyes before once again taking off. Penny sprang to her feet, then decided it wasn't worth it seeing as Chase already had a head start, and had turned down one alley and probably down another. With a growl, she whipped around and headed back to the rest of the team.

It's got to suck to be Archie; he's pretty much in the middle of all this.
(And Chase was going to see Fawn and Vincent, if anyone was wondering.)

That's actually them the majority of the time though? Like Chase does / says something ridiculous, then Penny's like "what the heck are you, no".
And thanks once again! It means a lot.
((I actually picture Chase and Penny arguing over him like toddlers that don't want to share. "Come on Archie let's go do this" "No, Archie, let's go do THIS instead." And Archie's just like "um i am very conflicted by all of this."))
